Also the axial is an italian engine, plus it comes with a standard, and a turbo button, it's your choice just switch them back and forth. That engine is good quality and no joke for a great price.

a venturi is used in a carb, it helps create a partial low pressure area to sucks fuel out of he needle and atomize it, all carbs pretty much use some sort of venturi, simple or complex

In fact, if your are attentive the Axial .28 was an Hpi 4.6 with a green head and it's made by STS.

The Sh .28 / dynamite .28 / Lrp z.28 was the same thing. It have maybe just different cooling head .
I have an Team integy samurai .28 and it's the same thing as a orion wasp .28 and peak racing diablo .28 for the casing, piston, crank and sleeve. But the integy have standard glow plug and the button head is integrated to the cooling head. The orion have a turbo button head separated.

Sportwerks .26/dynamite mach.26/xtm 24.7 is also the same thing and all made by SH. I think it have 4 asian compagny that made engine: SH, STS, integy and O.S.

I have also a mach .26 and it make great power, are very reliable and easy to tune, much more than the integy.

All these manufacturer make good bang to buck engine, just search the right price for you. Axial and LRP .28 are reviewed in rc car action. I think that lrp make more horsepower and torque than the axial on dyno. But not 3+ like the advise said.

So my choice:

1-Sh/Lrp/Mach .28
2-Axial/Hpi/sts .28
3-Mach .26/sportwerks ...

no the Axial is not made by STS...the Axial is made by a company Called Kingstar engines out of Taiwan....STS is their competitor.... the Axial 28 resembles the K4.6 but has more agressive port timing and makes a little more power.
