I'm thinking of getting an HL tank (my first tank) and doing a sorta futuristic Explore/Rescue/Recovery vehicle. Lots of lights, winches/recovery gear, light defense weapons and space for a larger crew. I'd like it to be fairly water capable also.

Anyone done (and have pics!) of anything similar or of any non-historical, non-reality based tank projects? I'd love to see them!

Cafestomp:

I've got a few in progress, but due to my current illness, progress has ground to a halt apart from sales of older non-essential RC gear and purchasing parts with that revenue to complete the projects at a later date (hopefully)

I'd rather not mention the subjects, but one of them is well known amongst my fellow Yahoo Sci-Fi Armor group members: A BOLO Mk. 3 aka 'Markie', from the now famous Keith Laumer Bolo series. Since Laumer's death, his estate has allowed other writers to continue in the storyline, and such famous writers as David Drake of Hammer's Slammers fame have contributed. Baen books carries many of the collected works, and again, we hope Baen (http://baen.com) will continue on with their good taste now that Jim Baen is no longer with us.

Another pet project is a Leopard CAT, as designed and suggested by Matt Fisher in his CASR Article. With the Canadian Army telling the Government that they HATE the LAV's, and want to ~keep~ their aging Leopards, this idea may bear fruit. Lets see what the reports back from Lord Strathcona's Horse say about this aging vehicle's performance.

I gotta laugh at how they got most of the way there though: Russian Antonov AN-124's! We got the Russians to take us Canucks to Afghanistan, 20 years after their debacle there. Anyone for a Canadian remake of 'The Beast'?

First reports! Go Canucks!

Thanks for the response! I checked out some of the stuff you mentioned. Pretty interesting.

So,..... NO ONE else has has any non-historical tanks???

I haven't purchased my first tank yet, but here is pics of the kinda thing I'm thinking of:

note: I haven't purchased a tank yet because neither of these projects are complete, although they both run....

That's my kind of woman!

Dave, you'd be the talk of the battlefield! That is to say that we would all talk about you behind your back.....Do you think he feels like a woman trapped in a man's body, or what?

Jason

Hallo Männer !

The thread is a littlebit older, but if I remember it correct, he has bought the girl here (write an email to them and put the link to the "P*Tank" inside ... then they will know ... ) !

Maybe you can get similar girls also in this shop - click also on "Figuren" and then "Fantasy und Erotic" ...

As far as I know the price differs from 5 € to 50 € ...

Greetings

P.S.:
oh, the hookah Rommel attached importance to a good relation to the locals in north africa you know ... command is command
