Well, I just got my Gyrotor Indoor/outdoor heli awhile ago and havent been successful flying it.. not even once. Problem is everytime i try to give it some air, the heli spins wildly in an uncontrollable fashion. I cant make it hover in the same place for even 5 sec. It flies off, out of control and them bumps into walls and other obstacles. At times it even 'Trips on its own before even taking off' Crashes before even gettin off the ground.

Has anyone here had the same problem? I was thinking of maybe returning it if nothing else works. Thanx

Have you removed the bit of plastic that is between the rotor blades? I forgot that the first time I tried flying it. Otherwise its just a matter of trimming. Good luck! /Peter

Ching, I have 2 gyrotors and have not experienced the problems you have. Can you post a pic? As for crashing on take off, my piccos and gyrotors will all do that. The instructions say to run the power up slowly. If you want a clean takeoff, get the rotors spinning at low speed and then give them full power. Once your airborne you have to back the throttle of some. I usually air launch mine, both piccos and gyrotors. If you figure out a better way I hope you will post it on the gyrotor thread. Tim

Hey thanx for all the advise. When i tried returning it to the store, they found out the Controller to be the problem. The controller seemed to be lagging a few secs in response. Anyways they replaced the controller and it seems all well after that. Problem solved thanx!

digit and germa, The first one I bought had a similar problem. If a series of charge/discharge does not help, see if the body is touching the rotor shaft That can be enough to affect the flight. Will your helis hand launch?

hey germa...as for the tail rotor i think it has burned out...generally the tail rotors of small helis burn out very fast with even a very mild crash...i guess u gotta change the tail rotor motor. it happens!!
