Here are my two cut jets. They fly much better than stock, especially after the throttle mod so you can concentrate on flying.

I think the best mod for the aero ace jet it to simply put a dime under the nose. The climb rate is amazing. I get up to about 200ft in about 45seconds.

Not sure if anyone's tried this, but I use speed and low drag to combat wind. It's real easy to do; just cut 1 1/4 inches off your wingtips. This only benefits the mono as far as I know. Careful, though; you'll need almost full throttle just to stay up.

P.S. My personal opinion is that you can remove about half of any Air Hogs plane's wingspan and it'll still fly. I cut 6 inches off my Rolling Fury and it flies just fine.

Hello all I have a question about the AA charger in the TX.

There are a pair of 4.7k resistors (R41,R42) in parallel on the output of the charging circuit. I would think that if one of these were removed that the charging current would drop from 3C to about 1.5C which would hopefully increase the life of the Lipo.

Has anyone done this?
Does it work ok?

If it does work would a 10k Variable Resistor trimmed to allow only a 1C charge work?

Oh I just noticed that they are 4.7 ohms not 4.7k.

BGR, the lipo only achieves nominal charge (3.7v) from my testing. My testing way back when idicated that I was getting a 2s/1c or 7.4v 100mah charge. I did just open up a new tx and found new stuff inside. You'll usually get a quicker response on the aeroace thread.

Hello again boys and girls. The depron bandit has been squirreled away in his workshop and it's time for show and tell...

The C-119 flys very scale like and resonates quite loudly. Kinda like the original. The super connie took some time to trim but now is an excellent flyer. The CF-100 is untried (maiden tomorrow). The 737 is a remake of one that flew ok on AA bipe guts until it had a wingtip chewed off by a larger plane. I resurrected it to try JetScream fans...WOW...up in the rafters at the lowest throttle setting. (I,m thinking of calling it "Dogpatch Air" for obvious reasons.

The A-26 was a slingshot glider that I modded with Minium motor gearboxes and the brick from an MCX heli (2x esc) Maiden tomorrow.
