Don't mean to burst your bubble, but 18x6W @ 8350 rpm is not close to 21 lb. of thrust. I measured APC 18x6W @ 9400 rpm to be 19 lb. of thrust. At 8350 rpm, 18x6W pulls 15 lb. Realistically, you can probably get 8500 rpm on 18x6W if you go 30% nitro. But you are still looking at 16 lb. Mens-S and APC wide prop have about the same load and efficiency. As for the prop hub being too short to be secured by the threaded shaft, are you using a spinner? A spinner backplate can bias the prop foward by about 5mm to 8mm. Furthermore, you can use a thicker thrust washer. If you need it only for breakin, get a cheap 16x8 prop like master Airscrew. it is plenty thick at the hub. The instruction says to break in with 16x8.
