ORIGINAL: hot_peng ... I have a couple of set up question to ask you 1# Do you think adding flap will help making the Take-off / Landing any easier ? 2# Is it possible at all to fly the plane "Slower" than how it meant to fly ??? , If yes , With what set up???, (ie higher pitch prop ???) ... Hello hot_peng, Flaps are usually NOT recommended for a Canard-Plane. If you apply flaps, there will be an additional momentum which will try to put the nose down. The more flap, the more nose down. As the canard stabilizer is already heavy loaded (wing loading around twice the amount of the main wing), it is highly possible, that it can not produce enough lift to fly straight on. There are some Twinwing/Canard desings, which have flaps, but they have additional things built in to prevent that nose-down. Canards are usually a bit faster, then their "normal colleagues" due to their design as a canard. A "slow" canard looks a bit different, then this one. But you can try a prop with less pitch or fly with a little less throttle. If you could reduce the weight, you could fly slower too. But with an ARF it is not that easy to get. Uli
