I've been thinking of different was of going into business for a while now. Maybe I aughta open a hobby shop out here in Barstow. I hate driving all the way to Hobbie People just to find they don't have what I need. Plenty of room for a killer track too.

I just read your post about thinking about opening a shop, I worked for Hobby town for just over a year and also ran a parking lot race program for them. if you can find a good location with plenty of room for both retail and room to race I wish you the best of luck, and let me know how I can help, I still have all the track materials and PA system to putt on the races.

How much space you suppose would be needed. As far as a shop goes I would only deal in ground RC. I wouldn't even waist my time with models and games and toys like these other Hobby Shops have. Barstow has WalMart for that. And here there is no competing with Walmart. But to sell enough rtr's and parts to get people into it with a nice dirt track in back.......How much space you think?

A good size for the dirt "TRACK" only is about 100' x 200'. You can make a decent layout with that amount of space but dont forget about a drivers box, pit area and parking. Hope this info will help you out.

My bad , Dude. The conversation just went that way. Sometimes I just say what I think and don't think before I say.

So back to track talk...I'd like to come run out there some time. I've never ran on a track and don't really knopw proper track ediquite. When I come out there I should have a collection of crystals, right? What else should I expect?

What is the racing schedule now?
Has the track switched to Saturday night racing completely?
I am wondering because I went out to see what was happening on Sunday June 29th and the place was empty.
Then I see the postings of Saturday June 28th's races.
I am so confused now.

Can a person buy a transponder?

Would it be worth it after a while not having to rent one?

Another question: Any limitations on running Brushless motors and any limits on LiPo batteries? Need to be ROAR approved?
