I have a reasonablly heavy sig fazer. I have had OS LA 46 on there, but it just wouldnt carry the plane. while at my house i have a just broken in super tigre gs 40 with the six inch macs black tuned pipe. Will this carry it better than the LA 46? If so what prop should i go for.

Stick with the LA... that tiger will not have much if any more power... try running an APC 11x4 on either motor you choose... Oh and that black pipe is nothing more than a muffler...it's not really a tuned pipe...you want more power put a good BB .46 on the nose. Keep in mind though that if the plane is over 5 lbs and it's easy to build it that heavy nothing short of a hot 50 class 2 stroke or 70 class 4 stroke is going to make it pull harder.

The GS40 will weigh more than the 46LA with almost the same power. It will be border line but the APC 12.25x3.75 is the perfect 3D thrust prop for 46 size and your 46LA should be able to swing it at enough RPM.

Hey Buddy -That was the most spectacular crash I've ever seen , That rolling cart wheel with parts slinging out was cool...

hi the sig fazer-was my clubs choise for -club fun flying events- if you try a st 51-on an asp 11/5 or 11/6-you will have a power house of an engine (puts out almost--61 power--engine is a bored out 46-and may weigh less than a 46 if i remember right-will turn 13000 plus rpm ) the 51 is as large an engine as you want to put in a 40 size plane-i have had a 61 in a 40 size (and a 75cc )-flew good-but required too much tail weight to balance-so too much wing loading-made the plane hard to control -- on the landings ----only. this is the place we want to look the best--just my too cents ===tony===

I'm experimenting and i put an Evolution .52 on my Fazer.
I'm running an 11X6 prop and its a beast.
I'll try to post some videos.
