U got it.....those clips are retarted and tend to fall off at the worst of times...u can shave em down till they are flush with the wing....I left a little meat on top the first time as i didnt wnna strip out the wing mount if there wasn't enuff material....i also JB weld the nuts in place so i dont have to hold them with anything when removing the wing.

cherokee180c: wow man thank you so much!!! I received my starter box just today! thanks great article!!!!!

No problem, it is a great article and I knew it would really help anybody looking to use that box. Just wish I could have found it quicker.

The 7 port is still kicking butt. I was TQ last weekend after a single qualifier again, but we got rained out after that. I still think the 5 port might be better, but if I keep winning with the 7 port, I am not going to spend the money to find out!! I really think I am getting almost all the HP to the ground with the 7p due to the linear power band and lower torque down low in the power band. The harder hit down low of the 5 port may actually hurt me, but who knows at this point. All I can say is that if you have a large track, this is the motor to get. If it is a medium track, it really depends on your driving style and I can not compare to the 5 or 3 port yet.

If the linkage is set up right, it is not an issue. I didnt read the instructions and fried a servo by tightening the battery tray down too tight. Now that i took the time to do it right, there is hardly any flex and Horizon was great with replacing the broken servo. It just sits in my box now though, i upgraded to a 9100s....

i dont run a looose radio tray...so therfor its NOT required to keep a servo alive....its all in the end points and how u go about attaching the throttle pull on the carb....also pending on what motor u plan to run...will also play on how u rig up the throttle....but u definatly dont have to run a Loose Rx Box....Dispite what Losi says in the book.

Hi, I will buy an eight-t RTR and I want to know your experience to know what replacemente parts should I get... I heard about the cluth...

I live in Argentina and the replacements parts usually takes 3 weeks to arrive so I prefer to buy it now..

So what parts do you recomend me to buy that will probably break or wear first....

I am a good driver and usually dont hit anything, also I make weekend maintence and I have experience with RC

Sorry if this question is already answer but I look and I couldnt find anything..

Thanks

Anybody used lightened outdrives? Can you feel added torque and acceleration due to the lighter rotational mass?
