I was thinking of trying out the jammin .21, but after driving the CL7 i'm worried it won't compare, prices are about the same on them.

the Jammin is stronger then the CL7B FYI...they have similar low end but the Jammin runs all over it on top.... I like the Sirio but it feels very mild compared to what I am used to... the Sirio does have good power buts its smooth trigger feel makes it feel softer then it really is..... As I type this I am modifying my CL7B, I will have re-match with Jammin mills tonight hopefully..

That what it seems like for me, I havn't owned one yet, I have 2 friends that have them, 1 works 1 is crap.. I see them at the track alot.. well I don't see .21s much. I see more .28s and again its hit and miss.

You need to know what you are doing to have success with a Picco engine...They are truly a diamond in the rough and require a little more prep and TLC then a higher priced mill like a Nova or Sirio, so they are not for everybody......Picco's also tune a little differently, either you can tune em, or you can't..some find them easy to tune, others find it hopeless......... When tuned correctly they are the highest performing engines I have ever encountered, no other brand of engine I have modified has impressed me as much as the Picco's have...the modified Picco 21 being the fastest motor I have ever run, 28's included

but that has nothing to do with the topic of what engine to buy.... Who cares about the corners when we are talking engines ? I do not see the relevance in your comment !!!

comparing the Picco to Sirio.... the Picco has a touchier trigger, doesn't take much throttle at all to get onto pipe, very little trigger input results in very big power... the Picco feels insanely snappy and extremely responsive... Some people may complain the motor triggers too much, and feels like a light switch.. very very good motor if you like to blip the trigger, as nothing carries pop like a Picco does......... the Sirio on the other hand is very smooth and linear, it requires a significant amount of trigger input to get things rolling, the motor is deceptively torquey tho, it does not feel explosive like the Picco does, but if you open the trigger up it will blow the tires off just as violently as the Picco does............. With the Sirio I felt I lacked the crisp throttle response I was used to with the Jammin motor... That may be why I am saying the Sirio feels mild.....the Sirio is suited to someone who likes a smooth motor, and the Picco is good for someone who likes ultra crisp throttle response.... both have similar power, but they feel worlds different driving then back to back...... If you drove a JPX back to back with a Sirio you would swear the JPX has way more power because of the way it triggers.... The modified JPX feels violent compared to the Sirio.... Hair Trigger vs Smooth Trigger !!!! both outstanding motors

ya have u seen the pics of my track its not a full throtle all the time track so for me you would want a motor that has both alot of low end and alot of high end and that is hard to find in motors from america thats why alot of racers at my track go with itailan motors and they last alot longer i think

Hey Losi owners, I'm looking for a favour, could someone who owns a RTR with the Mach427 please advise me of the standard Carb needle settings. A mate has just put the 427 in his truggy and we just want to be sure of the settings for break-in. Thanks in Advance

the Jammin .21 is a Picco based engine...it is without a doupt the strongest .21 I have run..it has violent bottom end................This Sirio CL7B was supposed to be the KIng of .21's, but honestly next to the Picco this Sirio feels very mild..... I find XRC's dyno tests to be rather optimistic to be honest...... the difference between the two motors is pretty large...... This Sirio definitely doesn't make the power i was expecting....

XRC tested it at 1.8 HP and 70 oz/in, i find these results to be extremely high for the power I am seeing from these motors

I still think the Sirio is a great motor, i find it smooth and easy to manage....it does have alot of power, but you need to give the motor lots of trigger to see its power..... I was honestly expecting the motor to be stronger then it is judging from its dyno results on XRC...........

For anyone using the Sirio as a measuring stick you need to see a modified Picco 21 to even remotely understand what a .21 is capable of....we are talking a huge step upwards in power and explosiveness.... SO far I have 2 CL7B's, one is stock and the other is modified.... I run them in both Buggy and Truggy and run them side by side with my Picco's in both Trug and Bug...we have already doen some head to head drags and plan to do more..... I am hoping with tuning and setup I can get more juice from the CL7
