ORIGINAL: claudacio When an engine is hard to start when hot its usually a sign of being to lean or the P/S is shot. Agreed, but my buddy and I have both tried richening the engines more and more, and it does not help. I tune for performance, but as I said before my temps are normally around 230s. It has plenty of compression, and has about 2.5 gallons through it. My buddies engine and mine were fine for the first couple of gallons and then it seems the past few weeks we have had this problem. I tried taking the temps of the carb, when I brought the car the engine was almost 240 and I checked the carb temp and it was just over 200. Now I know the cheap little Duratrax temp guns arn't the most accurate, and I had to get right in there so the exhaust temp didn't affect the reading too much, but I just wanted to get an idea of how hot the carb was getting. I will be getting a new motor next month, I have just accepted it
