Status: offline 		Man did I have to dig way back for this thread..........I've had my 8-T for a little while now and I've got all the up dates and fix its from losi and followed them for the most to the Tee....what I have ran into that is making things hard is the brake and throttle set up....I've done everything to the letter and set up my end points on my servo and yet have still gone through a few servos....I stop buying the high dollar servos and found the middle of the road ones to do just as good ....I really want a fast servo back in my throttle but hate spending the bucks and poping it .......has anyone one found a set up that works and stays consistant....???

Status: offline 		I have a Losi 8T with over 5 gallons on it and have never had any problems with my servos. Make sure you have the ball collar on the carb lined up with the servo arm so it does not bind(you may have to turn carb a little also). When your throttle is wide open with your controller (engine not running) keep the trigger pulled and then pull the linkage with your other hand and make sure you can still pull the linkage a little more beyond what your servo is pulling...this allows for the chassis flexing which can cause servos to go bad if forced. Other than that you should have no problems. I use Futaba S9351's for steering and throttle on my 8T.

Status: offline 		Thank you dan .... how you described how your set up is almost like the addemdum......I just put two new orings(which I only had one before) under the batt box and got the right size screws. and I removed the servo tray stiffener that I added to see if I could get a little more relief on the throttle servo....this set up seems a little loose to me...well lets see what happens..........

Status: offline 		Had a great night at the track....OS 28XZ is running perfect......man this truck handles well....and just a half hour before we left there was a pile up on the Big double and smoke my body...."LOL....it was one of those hits and pile up that makes everyones heads turn in the pits.... ..... ...

Status: offline 		i just rebuild my diffs and shocks for the first time since i first got the truggy (4 and a half gallons), no oil had leaked out of either the front or back shocks, i was mainly bashing at that point so i had the suspension pretty stiff (50 wt oil both ends) for the jumps i was doing, you shouldn't have a problem with the shocks, i just rebuilt to go softer on the oils and in the diff to try and find a nice set-up for some racing.

I know there are a few on all truggys and buggys but iam about to lay down mega$ to get a nice 8-t and would like to know the pros and cons of the losi.. If you guys could help me out that would be great ...Ive been racing a cen truggy for a while and need a good change was also concidering a MBX5-T...You dont have to be bias the truth is fine Thanks...

Status: offline 		Plastic is plastic and on a big hit something usually breaks. On my Losi 8ight B I've had some serious crashes and a run in with the foundation of my house and nothing broke... a few gouges, but nothing broke. I've had truggys and other buggys crash into my 8ight and we all survived without issue. An LST swallowed my 8ight one day at my local track and once the dust settled my 8ight was fine... it had some tire marks on it's lid, but nothing major and no damage. As Super_Dave said... the lower arms are extremely beefy and I've seen some folks put a crack in half of the arm and complete a race without realizing it until the brought in. The weakest link on the 8ights are from the RTR plastic shock caps. Those parts I've seen crack on little jumps and such, but again it's a major stress point so I can it happening. Once you have the aluminum caps the issue is gone. The 8ight is just as beefy as any other truck or buggy out there....
