quote:

As for the ST-R diffs, Get your facts right, It isn't the material of the difffs at fault.

Thanks Captain factoid .. but I never accused the materials as the culprit - clearly its the DESIGN. And its comon failure, makes it inferior to the Hong Nor Hong Kong rubbish as you called.

quote:

And please don't even compare the CRT to the ST-R or MBX5T they are leagues above.

Maybe the Mugen is - but the ST-r is just an wannebe also ran - too short - too narrow and frankly its just kinda - IMHO - UGLY

quote:

The only reason the CRT is populer is because it is cheap, And you can buy cheap parts.

Look up fanboi post in the dictionary - and you find the above quote!!! LOL....

Guess you just kinda glossed over the FACT - that it was the first long armed Pro Kit, and took the truggy world by storm and basically created a new Genre of RC Offraod racing? It had sole ownership of top truggy for over a full year! Nope - all those things never happened - it was cuz its CHEAp'r than a Kyosho ... LOL Hence my comment about DELUSIONAL.

quote:

But you need to buy a lot of hop ups and parts to keep it running.
In fact the CRT is copying kyosho on all there ideas, brakes, servo saver etc.

Really? Like what Hop Ups for the CRT Pro Kit?

Yup I see all the kyosho's running fiberglass brakes .... ohhh wow - Kyosho has a high tech servo saver!!! LOL Actually they just copied the Mugen MBX5t's as of about a week ago. Here's an interesting thought .... Hong Nor had a truggy pro kit before the ST-R ever saw daylight - seems to me that Kyosho copied Jammin in the truggy area - and still screwed it up.

You keep believing your delusions that the Kyosho materials are superior and their SHOCKS are par excellence' - the rest of the top drivers [who get the choice to run whatever shocks they want] outside of Kyosho neophytes and Sponsored Pro Drivers know otherwise.

I really dont understand why Kyosho people are so vehemently ANTI OFNA/Jammin/Ho Bao ... is it the Red K tattoo'd somewhere private?

Tazer speaks the truth. Also, Kyosho is now copying the MBX5T's extenders to get a wider stance for it's truggy.

Hey Tazer Boy...ran the ST-R all summer without diff problems. You just need to be able to follow instructions and shim them properly. No different than any other diffs.

They are very different than MANY other diffs. Best instructions to follow for the ST-R is to use LSp diffs ... LOL

The axle extenders have been on the cards for some time now, Well before the Mugen release. They are a tuning option not a necessity. They also come in 6mm 9mm and I think 12mm. Mugen are 10mm.
I use 9mm basically to allow me to use wide walled tyres for the UK winter.

That's funny most kits nowadays Losi, Xray, Mugen, Jammin, and Ofna do not require the diffs to be shimmed. I never understood why Kyosho refuses to make their kits just easier to maintain. I mean, we pay as much as $700 for a Kyosho " world champion" kit but still have to work on it like we're punishing ourselves. Am I the only one who caught on with that? Kanai and Kyosho must just be laughing their way to the bank knowing that people are still shimming diffs when they can just improve on it to make our lives easier. $700 for someone to sit in the pit shimming his diffs or $500 for a Jammin rippin the straight with no shimming of the diffs required. My Xray diffs have gone thru 4 gallons and nothing has gone wrong with them and they don't even have shims on them as well. You do the math people.

I ran the SP2 and the ST-R all summer without any diff problems. I have no problem shimming the diffs...it takes about 15 seconds. The reason is when parts are injectioion molded, no 2 pieces are exactly alike. The shims merely allow you to have a perfect fit in the diff case. I franlky prefer the shims.
