You tell me...

Taiwan
--------
Toki Engines, makes XTM, etc all low-quality RTR engines
SH Engines
Axial
Hong Nor
Ho Bao

Japan
------
OS
Futaba
Kyosho
Mugen
Tamiya

SH make Nosram and LRP engines to name a few I own an OS engine myself but the conrod did snap on it and the Vspec is not exactly renowned for it longevity!
The Ho Bao Hong Nor thing has been done to death, so i aint wasting my breath telling you what you wont listen to.
As Stated above Toki engines are thought of as good engines in the aircraft world.
So the only thing left in you argument is Mugen Seiki
I am surprised you didn't think kyosho was made in the good ol' US of A though cos your that thick!

Check out the World Champion vehicle. Pretty sweet and only $675. Why settle for anything else.

I'll give you this much, that was an excellent deflection of my question.

Deflection? No I just dont give a flying flatulence about the topic. The only people that care are Kyosho fanbois. Frankly the whole topic is stupid really - even if it were totally accurate - whats the point ... Besides that ... it was rhetorical and leading question - so as you could follow on with a post and actually answer your question - as evidenced by your follow up post. Bah.

I still think it's embarassing for Hong Nor that they Xeroxed the 7.5 buggy.

Whats really embarrassing is Kyosho fanbois are still prattling on about a 3 revision old buggy getting copied LOL. As if that changed ANYTHING ... Actually suprised you Kyosho guys dont see how petty and lame it makes you look. Of all the things to single out ... the most elementary issue of them all. But you go girl .. run with that.

quote:

For something that's so overpriced and average, the Kyosho sure did make a nice benchmark for your buggy.

My buggy? No kyosho parts bolt up to my buggy that Im aware of ... Whats this BENCHMARK term that keeps getting regurgitated?

The Benchmark of how to milk a chassis desing for as long as possible and charge absurd amounts fo $$ for it by calling it a sp1 / sp2 / wc ... pleeez.

quote:

Why do Kyosho drivers enjoy having the benchmark in the class?

What you enjoy as a Kyosho owner is stoking your ego with the notion that you have more $$$ to flush down the toilet in the form a toy rc. Or is it the benchmark of how to be a pompous arse about the fact your toy kit costs 2x the other guys? Bet you drive a BMW too ... LOL. Benchmark ... try skidmark.

quote:

Pretty simple, because it riles guys like you up so much when you try to justify your copy cat Taiwanese buggy.

LMFAO ... my tawainese buggy is real easy to justify - no reason to get riled it all - especially when a pompous windbag is nattering on and on his quality craftsmanship and the funniest of them .. the leading tech innovation ... from a company that changes nearly nothing and call it a SP2 and charges $200+ more for it cuz the packaging has a shiny new picture on the outside. The things lemmings wont do to appear "cooler" than the other guys.

I do think it's sad that companies like Hong Nor make a living riding the coattails of Kyosho, and I won't support them with my money.

Kyosho's coattails .. ok.

Don't care about the topic? Your mile-long response says otherwise! LMAO

SP1/2 is milking a chassis design...and your X1CR isn't milking a 6yr old 7.5 design....designed by Kyosho? The irony is priceless! You're obsessed with this price thing...why is that? Not enough spending cash in your pocket for your hobbies? Who brought up the issue of Kyosho's buggy cost? The point you're missing is quality, not cost. I've never once even mentioned the Kyosho's cost. I HAVE said, however, that the cheaper QUALITY X1CR is a Kyosho copy. There's something for you to prattle on about

Not to be a jerk, but I marvel at how proud you are of your big words. The keyboard cowboy has entered the arena folks! Yeeeeehawww!!!!!

Tazer would have to be right. A few years time and we'll be seeing the new Kyosho SP100, and it'l be half a half a gram lighter in the front, because that makes it handle .00001% better. Kyosho are reeeaaalllyyy milking the SP1, there's no denying it!!

Just finshed assembly on my 777 wc and once again Kyosho's fit and finish is the best...The price $590 if you know someone who owns a hobby shop...That is cost for a 777 wc!!!.... hobby shops mark this stuff up big time and sell for what kyosho thinks it should retail for.
The changes are small but important such as: gear ratio, rear arm geometry and stiffness, improved shock dampening, and brakes....The rest is just a bonus like the titanium PHILLIPS!!!!! (PH2) wood screws.

KYOSHO'S WORK!!!!!

By the end of the 2007 if Kyosho does not design an all around new buggy they will be has beens!!! Losi and Associated are going to change the 1/8th buggy class and any company that does not drop a lot of money on new leading edge technology like Losi and Associated will is going to be considered a beginers entry level buggy.

I personally wouldn't buy a Kyosho WC edition for even $100 below dealer cost. The philips head screws are a JOKE, look at a team drivers car... they upgrade those before ever building the thing. The chassis braces are old technology and the plastic ball ends get slop and allow more flex over time. And how can you justify the fact that you have to reshim your diffs all the time? That is ridiculous!!! Sure it's easy to do but if I am dropping $700 on a kit I would expect Kyosho to use some smarts and come up with a design that would not require this. My last bone to pick on a $700 kit is the fact that you don't get tires.... **** the money they save by putting the cheapest screws made in the kit should give them the extra money to drop a set of tires in the kit.

Ok now lets hear it KY boys..... Man you sure do need KY the way your takin it from Kyosho, they have you people brain washed

Have you owned a kyosho? Where do you dream up this total rubbish?

I have owned the K1 K2 Sp1 Sp2 and never had to re shim a diff. I've never had a problem with the philips screw heads, I've never stripped one as they are high tensile steel, Better than some of the so called stainless screws on the market.
I wouldn't want just any set of tyres thrown in a kit to keep certain people happy. Look at the ones in the hyper 8. They are not suited to any tracks I've been too.

Who's moderating all this crap anyway, It's full of hong knong bashers with a big time inferiority complex and a hatred toward kyosho. If you don't like it don't buy it and certainly don't post crap on this mp777 wc thread.

Back to subject, Would be nice to see some build pics of this great new edition.

I dont care about the allegation that Jammin copied the kyosho 7.5 portion of the topic. I do care that Kyosho dweebs continually prattle about how great their kits are compared to everyone elses ... ya know Benchmark drivel and all that.

quote:

SP1/2 is milking a chassis design...and your X1CR isn't milking a 6yr old 7.5 design....designed by Kyosho? The irony is priceless!

Your incorrect assumptions are even more priceless ... Ive never owned a Jammin buggy.

quote:

You're obsessed with this price thing...why is that? Not enough spending cash in your pocket for your hobbies?

Yeah thats it ... Im struggling to field a viable .. race worthy RC car ... LOL Not obsessed with price - obsessed with Kyosho fanbois ignorance and willingness to throw extra $$$ at a car thats mediocre, and the lengths they go to to justify it.

quote:

Who brought up the issue of Kyosho's buggy cost?

Mostly K car fanbois ... "You get what you pay for ..." "Quality costs more" .... LOL Kettle ... meet Mr. Black.

quote:

The point you're missing is quality, not cost. I've never once even mentioned the Kyosho's cost. I HAVE said, however, that the cheaper QUALITY X1CR is a Kyosho copy.

Ahh ... there we go again with the subjective ... "quality" ... bit. Really? Next you try and tell us all how Kyosho's never break? Your kits more "quality" than Bob's ... LOL

Delusional - www.dictionary.com - look into it.

quote:

Not to be a jerk, but I marvel at how proud you are of your big words. The keyboard cowboy has entered the arena folks!

I'll work on dumbing it down for you ... Most elitest snobs are anal retentive about their grammer as well - was just trying to make sure to communicate at the typical SNOBs level.

back to the topic, id like to see some new 777 WC pics if anyone has some. and id like to hear some reviews/complaints.

keep the other discussions else where, this could be a helpful thread if some people would leave other matters out of it. if u dont like kyosho, then dont like. dont clutter this thread with that.
