1. Kyosho's Performance are OVER RATED - they dont steer, jump, land, corner, accelerate any better than a Hyper 7 or a Jammin or an XRay or a PBS Mugen.

I would agree with mugen and Xray, The hyper and jammin are not in the same league.

2. Kyosho "quality" is hype. Their kits break just like the rest and with about the same frequency.

Rubbish, I ran a sp1 for over 1 year and replaced only consumables, I come from a large club that covers all buggys and no other could say the same. As for my friend who traded his 2.5 year old Kanai 3 in for an Hong Nor Cr he regretted it big style, His 14 year old son started to beat him and he never finished a final.

3. Kyosho's are Over Priced - when one compares their value proposition to the rest of the industry.

No they are the same price as other quality kits like mugen and Xray. In fact cheaper than the excellent new mugen kit.

4. Kyosho RTR vehicles are considered some of the biggest trash piles of the industry.

True, Although they are cheap, So like hong nor, You get what you pay for. The kyosho ST truggy looks excellent value for under £300 with digital radio, .28 engine and jazzy body and wing.

5. Kyosho fanboys are some of the most snobbish zealots about their toys Ive ever seen.

Inferiority complex

6. Kyosho fanboi's repeat the same tired old mantra about K-car parts being used by XYand Z racers from Jammin OFNA, Ho bao etc .... and the 7.5 being copied.

It doesent bother me about hong nor copying an old model, I thought the K2 was a great kit. An excellent foundation for the World champion MP777 range.

Why are you guys still arguing about the same old stuff. This is the same argument as on any other forum with a topic about Kyosho. Like some one said before, If you don't like it don't buy it. Stop trashing this thread. I agree it is a bit funny watching you few guys screaming at each other but this should be for people with a WC or looking to buy one Not for all the people that hat Kyosho with a Passion. I thought that I would be able to come on here and look at some of the parts on the WC to put on my SP2 but there is very little useful information about the WC on here.

Please, if you don't like Kyosho or don't want anything to do with it, stop posting on here.

It's simple, no other buggy can claim this title. Right now, this is the best buggy on the market. Have a look.

http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/carsandtrucks/offroadcars/31780B.asp

Let's take a look at what they cover as far as the features of that buggy.

Trick Semi-Metallic Brake Pads
I believe my XTM X-Terminator has these. if not, my Nitro TC3 Team kit had them...FOUR YEARS AGO

Chassis Braces
OH MY GOD IT HAS CHASSIS BRACES!!! WOW, WHO'DATHUNKIT!!

14 Tooth Pinion
My X-Terminator has a 15 tooth...so THERE!!!

New, heavy-duty shock diaphragms (TBA)
Hmm...my X-Terminator never had a need for me to upgrade these..does that make Great Vigor Models a better manufacturer than..*GASP* Kyosho?!?!?

My god...because Kyosho puts some new specs on a website that MUST mean it's the best buggy on the planet!!! and uh...those chassis braces look like ass

BTW- since back when the Savage first came out, a lot of people were converting the diffs to a 4 gear setup with Kyosho parts. does that mean the Savage is a carbon-copy of a Kyosho MP6? They were also using Hong Nor 9.5 servo saver setups to convert the Savage to a "REAL" servo-saver...does that mean it's a carbon copy of the Hong Nor 9.5?

Above all why people hate K's, it's a WC! don't you realize whatever negative things you say about our K would not change a thing on us K owners? i think this is not just about superb quality, superb handling, etc., all buggies are GREAT . where do they differ? what's the purpose of racing then? what do you prove when you race? isn't that what you should do to find out who has the better buggy? or we should just beleive some guys post on the thread? K price i agree is expensive but i didn't regret buying it. infact i'll buy another K. hey i'm proud to be a kyosho fan boy hope that makes you feel good. let me ask you something. what on earth do you want us to do with our infernos so we could make you happy?

Hopeless. We may as well debate religion or Ford/Chevy while we're at it. You're convinced you're right, and I have nearly 2 decades of IFMAR Worlds wins to prove my point, but as long as you're convinced that you're 100% correct, I'll concede that it's pointless to even discuss it with you.

Kyosho's universals last 5+ gallons before their worn out; your H8's wear out twice as fast. Quality problem. Kyosho's design has won 6 IFMAR Worlds. Hyper 7 & Hyper 8...zero. Performance problem. Greg Degani, Jeremy Kortz use Kyosho parts to increase their Hyper 8's durability....but you think that's a "rumor" even though I've seen it with my own eyes at Hot Rods and Sun Valley, and overheard Kortz joking about using his old Kyosho parts on his buggy. Again, quality problems. Those are facts, not opinions, but I'm sure you'll spin it some other way that I'm deluding myself.

Enjoy your Hyper 8 and its subpar quality and performance, and I'll enjoy watching you make an ass of yourself on the internet...deal?

if it was all because Kyosho was superior, why didn't they win in 2004?

I cannot believe this has been going on for four pages. I don't understand why some people can't seem to accept the fact that there are a number of top class cars.
Personally I consider the 777, MBX-5, Jammin and the XB8 to be top of the range.
I personally own an SP2 and can only say good things about it. A friend owns a mugen prospec and loves it. I have driven it and it is indeed a nice car to drive.
As for price, I paid less for my SP2 than my friend did for his prospec (by $100) so using the argument that 777's are overpriced is rubbish.
From what I have seen the only people complaining about the 777 are people that don't own one. For god's sake get over it. They are a good car.

oh god.. Kyosho is a good car which should cost $400 for what comes with the kit... It USED to be pretty much the only car around so they could charge these crazy prices for a kit. Now there is so much competition they should come back down to earth. You guys that think Kyosho last any longer then any other car get off your high horse. My SP2 CVD's got bent and **** out faster then my Jammin CVD's. That fact is all the cars out are good it is just personal preference. Too me it comes down to cost and the Kyosho is way outta line. YOu can't compare an SP2 WC to a Prospec. The Kyosho still has cast knuckles tube braces and wood screws. That is more inline with a Jammin RTR. Heck they finally included some real shock towers with the SP2 to try and keep up with everyone else. IF Kyosho doesnt' change the way they price kits they will loose alot more business. Especially with the 8ight and Associated working on a car. When Losi was said to be coming out with a car I read every where that the price would have to be $800-900.. Well I got mine for $470. I am wasting my time you K-guys keep throwing your money away that is fine with me. If that car makes you happy that is all that counts. I got way slower with the SP2 and so did some other local racers. SO we sold them and went to Jammin and got much faster, but that is us. NOw I am trying the Losi just for a change. IT is all good. COmpetition is GOOD. It is just sad though that Kyosho hasn't realized their kits are way overpriced because when I started racing it was 8 to 10 Kyosho to ohter brands on the track. Now it is like 1 or 2 to 10 locally.

Herein lies the quintessential problem with Kyosho Kool-Aid drinkers - comments like this ... and yet they cant understand why people with other kits would comment on their stuff - their attitudes and their delusions ...

quote:

I said ...

1. Kyosho's Performance are OVER RATED blah blah blah ... blah .......

Then he said .... [and this is the typical Kyosho owners attitude and snobbish retort.]

I would agree with mugen and Xray, The hyper and jammin are not in the same league.

The image I portray of you is a 16 year old shelf stacker at Walmart that has owned a couple of rtr's. You then bought yourself a jammin kit and look it it every day frightened to use it and because it is your first kit you think it is the best.
Now the above is probably untrue, But this is the image I am getting because of the nonsense and rubbish you write.
You spam this WC thread with pages and pages of your dribble and jealousy over a t
