They will be too big physically for a ZAGI battery compartment, probably a bit on the heavy side also.

I meant, if I took eight and soldered them in a Zagi configuration.

I don't care how you solder them, you will end up with a pack that is 7.84 inces long whereas the standard 8 cell ZAGI pack is 4.4 inches. Even if you use only 6 cells (for very marginal performance) it will still be too long by over an inch. I guess if you want to radically modify the ZAGI you could cram them in and add 4.25 oz more weight.

I'm going to do as the seller suggests and take the cells out of
the plastic case. Than solder eight of them into the Zagi four on top of four configuration. Are you saying thay 100mm + 100mm = 7.84 in?

I tried the same cells you are referring to and have tried them in a Zagi. I got about 1.5 minutes of flight time and they are really heavy. I have AA packs that will give you 20 minute flights and more punch than these cells. They are not a good cell for your application. Just hope I can save you some time and energy. I have 600 of the cells you are looking at sitting in my garage if you want some. Just pay for the shipping and you may be able to use them for door stops or something...lol

Hi ... what AA battery do you use in your Zagi that gives 20 min flights? 8 cell packs? What mAh? I have a zagi set up in my Clancy Yard Bee. Standard 8 cell pack only gives me 2:30 min full throttle.
I get about 6 minutes at low throttle setting during the flight.

Our 1600 and 1800 packs will give you 20 minute flight times. We have tested several types of AA cells and these are the best we have found. You can check them out on our website at

Dave, at: www.radicalrc.com has several styles/types of battery packs for Zagi's. Go to 'battery packs' - 'electric flight'. If you go to the second page you will see a "Super NiMH" battery (1700Mah) pack for a Zagi, lighter than a Nicad of equal capacity.
