Hey guys,

I recieved mine today, it came well packaged, the covering has a few wrinkles but I have seen worse. It did come with a manual...lol All in all, everything looks nice. It is a much bigger plane than I anticipated. The fuse seems huge. I will start assembly tommorow night.

Bailey, how is it going with yours? Where did you find the better cg at?

Any other advice would be helpful.

We got the CG down on after the first flight we had to add a lot of weight to the front and that was w/ an OS .32 in it. Other than that i havn't flown in a while been kind of cold and windy. Oh don't try to land in the grass w/ the fac. wheels you will rip off the landing gear and break a prop everytime to try and do that. I would put didn't wheels on it

Thanks Bailey,

I fly off of grass so, I put larger wheels on most of my planes already. Looks like there is plenty of room up front to place the battery for the weight. I am pretty slow when it comes to assembly & building but, I will keep you posted. Good luck with yours, don't give up on it, it's a nice looking plane.

Hello I have the blue and white 25 size edge and i had to make a couple changes to get it to fly right. The stock landing gear are way to short for a grass field which is what i fly off of so i had to install a pair of you can do 3d 46 size landing gear. This plane will tip forward on its nose on take off also if you dont pay attention to its attitude on take off and i fly mine with a 46 size engine so it will balance correctly and the battery is all the way forward in the fuse. Also on landing you have to keep the speed up or it will snap and in turns also but it does a great blender and elevators and dont let your engine quit on you cus it wont glide well at all it needs power all the time.

I converted mine to electric, and based on the CG from the instructions, I had to add .75 lbs of weight to the nose. Does anyone else think this is insane? Has anyone else run into this problem. Damn crazy if you ask me.

Man, reading all the posts so far doesn't give me much confidence for my maiden flight. I'm about 90% done building this thing and it looks like a nice plane. But reading what you guys wrote sure makes me scared to fly it. I should be getting it up in the air within the next week or so. Hopefully, mine will not end up in the trash. Pretty disappointing if it does because it is a nice looking plane.

I just maidened my Edge 30 minutes ago. Sorry to say, it's going into the trash. The planes is a great looking plane, but the thing doesn't fly. I tried 3 take offs, and twice it left the ground, but wouldn't stay in the air. I added nearly 1 lb of weight to the nose to balance it at the recommended CG per the instructions, and it still seemed like it was tail heavy in the air. My plane was coverted to electric with a good AXI that puts out about 400-500 watts of power. The total weight of the plane was 4.8 lbs. I full throttled it on each takeoff and the plane ate up the runway quick. It was on the ground forever. Finally, when it did take off, the plane rolled left and right and I had the hardest time controlling it. It is a very twitchy plane. I'm not an engineer, but it appears there is a problem with the fuse being too fat and the wings being too short that it wants to roll left and right. I really wanted this thing to fly as I spent 3 weeks putting it together and it looks darn nice. The only good thing is I didn't damage anything other than flattening the landing gear and damaging some of the wood and covering on the plane. All my hardware appears to be in tact. That's good as I can transfer that to another plane. Sorry, but don't waste your money on this one.

Just out of curiosity, not slaming anyone, but for those that think this plane is a POS, what experience flying to you have? I think I remember a comment by one person that it was there second plane, and not recomended as a second plane. I dont' think a 40 size edge is a good 2'nd plane, and I'm thinking a .25 size is worse yet. I don't have the edge, but had been thinking of buying one. If you hate this plane and have some flying experience under your belt I'll probably pass on it.

This is my 8th plane. I'm no expert, but at least have intermediate flying abilities. Trust me, this plane is pretty bad. I've noticed on many of these China model type planes that it's a hit and miss. You may get a good one, or end up with a bad one. So far, I've been on the unlucky side. There is a reason why these planes are cheaper. Not all are bad, but I've learned my lesson the hard way. You really need to read the forums and see what other people are saying about the particular model you're going to buy before buying it. Some guy actually said he bought 2 of these Edge planes. I feel sorry for him. I've flown 4 Great Planes ARFs with no problems. They fly great and perform like they should. However, the China type planes, which cost way less, don't seem to perform the way they should. I'm just unlucky with the purchases I made. Like I said, it's a hit and miss. Read the forums before you buy. If you still want to take a chance with this plane, be my guest. My advice is to send a message to nitrostaff1 and have him recommend a plane for you. He may have a better choice for you.

Ive been flying for about 3 years and i am by no means a expert, but i have had many planes,ARFs,kits, more than a couple homemade rigs, this plane was ,well i dont want to say anything bad but it sucked, after you get it ballanced the wing loading is so high it has a hard time staying in the air,and if you get a deadstick, forget it
Iwouldnt recemend buying this airplane.
