Yes it is not the Challenger Biplane but it is very alike, I have seen many Ultimate trims and they all look the same, except for the ble and yellow original trim they all have almost the same lines on the wings. I have ordered from tower the covering and should be here next week.

Ray: I have e-mailed you, and yes I'd like to have that copy, many thanks for helping me.

Yesterday I soldered the pull pull system, I measured the lenght of the pull pull cables by the plans, maybe I will have to make a correction when the rudder will be installed.
I glued the hard wood stick that supports the servos and you can see on the pictures I added a small balsa sitcks to the stringers to give more strenght.
I am planning to use the stock cowling and wheel pants, maybe after a few flights I will change them for fiberglass ones, if this bip earn its wings

I finished the stock pants and the cowling cut outs, tank is now installed and ready, Rudder and throttle servos are installed, Monokote arrived last Monday and I expect to start the covering this weekend, I found my smoke pump and will think of using after maiden flight. The only thing left to do is to sand the wings struts and build the landing gear skirts.

Wing struts are now ready for monokote, the only thing left to do are the Landing gear skirts. I think I will balance the plane before covering. I will take the official naked plane pictures and post them.

Thank you Bipeguy, I'm looking forward to fly this biplane, I have balanced and did not need any more weight in the nose or tail, but it needed a half Oz on the right wing that I already added, well, this far building time is in the past, now it's time for covering, just need to clear my mind about the smoke pump installation, I'd like to install it in a removable tray so I can give service at any time. Need to figure it out; any idea will be very helpful.

Oh, smoke! Thats pretty cool! I decided not to put it in my ultimate , mainly cause I was shooting for a extreamly light airframe. But I am putting smoke on my sukhoi. Bigger engine and alot more room inside the fuse kinda made that choice for me!

As for mounting the pump, I guess it would depend on were your reciever is, the size and weight of the pump and what kinda mount the pump mfg. calls for.

In my sukhoi Im going to use a skywriter pump, and I am going to mount it on a false floor mounted on the fuse top. This will put the pump up in side of the forward deck in front of the cocpit. and this false floor will also give me a place to mount the battery. but best of all I'll be able to get everthing ON the CG.

But this will be my first smoke install to, so I'd like to see some Ideas also.

Throttle and rudder servos are in place, under the tray are located the JR 7 channel receiver and the battery, the red JR battery is an old one that will supply power for the smoke system.

The smoke system is based on the TME simple smoke pump which connects directly to the receiver and it may be programmed whit the radio, I used an 8 oz Sullivan tank for smoke fluid to preserve the light weight. Since this set up is completely removable I will be able to remove it at any time to check the performance of the plane, all system is located around the CG to avoid adding weight with or with out the system.

The simple TME smoke system is very easy to install, if you have a programmable radio you can set the adequate smoke rate by adjusting the servo travel, and you may slave the smoke channel with the throttle one so you can “smoke” when ever you throttle, there is only one issue I had with this pump, for some reason it did not work fine with a switch selectable Hitec receiver, but it does work fine with all my JR receivers. I had it installed on a Hobbico Sukhoi 60 size and you can imagine how spectacular this combo was.

I have been busy doing some more sanding in preparation to cover this bip, the covering scheme is the same as the Sean Tucker Challenger Biplane, this far I have finished the rudder, both elevators, both landing gear skirts, bottom fuselage and the complete upper wing with ailerons which have been hinged and glued in place, I also have adhered the ORACLE sticker and really gives an attitude to this wing.

This far has been fun to build this bipe, I have to invest more time for covering, I have been playing with numbers and want to share them with all rcuniverse:
