Ive changed my mind and decided to give it another shot.. im gonna try it after class and see if this thing will start up..

When its started.. how do i know by sound if im running the high speed or low speed needle too rich or too lean? Ive let it run for a tank during idle.. and i dont know how to tell by sound if its running correctly.. secondly.. how do i set the BDC and what importance does it make where its standing? Thanks guys

I took out the glo plug and moved the fly wheel untill it was at Bottom Dead Center, then I used a screw driver to scratch a line in the fly wheel and the plasic engine case. When the two lines are lined up I know it's at BDC.

Going back to science class, remember hot things expand and cold things contract. You put the piston at BDC so that when the engine cools, the top of the engine doesn't contract ,squeezing down on the piston.

You can't really tell if the engine is tuned by sound, only by performance
These are for the savage, but is far all nitro engines

Sweet thanks! i took a look at those videos..

Whenever i start the engine.. the wheels are moving.. i know this is because of the throttle is opened.. but if i close it anymore.. it wont start up.. and i find myself having to move the servo settings forward before starting it.. and then once its started.. i would have to position the servo by the radio until it stops.. then i can start running the car.. i dunno what i should do..

Sounds like you idle is set too low.
If the idle is set too low, then yes, you need to give it throttle just to get it to start
Raise the idle and then move the servo back to idle position.
