Mike,

Could you clear something up for me and others. Are JR Servo's made by Hitec? Do JR Servo's use any part of Hitec Servo's?
My reason for asking is this thread; http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4922452/tm.htm it appears that the JR 8611 has it's problems right now and one member has drug Hitec into the thread.

thanks, zz

Yes, please answer this one.

I have a couple of Hitec 5955s purchased in the time frame that JR states. I put them on elevators and only one fall on its weight when powered off. I always thought it was because my hinges were not perfectly in line on that side...

I am quite sure they are not from the same factory though. It is said they only have the same motor and the same potentiometer while everything else is different (better than JR IMO).

No, Hitec does not build JR's servos.

Note that Hitec is not experiencing any abnormal failures with the 5955TG servos. In fact, they are the most reliable servo we have built to date.

Mike.
