It looks to me to be a knock off of the Futaba GY401. I looking at getting it for my Shogun V2, but talked myself out it got a GY240. Price is very enticing though.

In this case, you get less than what you pay for. That gyro is garbage. It's not AVCS, it's not even a futaba knockoff. The only thing it has even remotely in common with the futabo gyro is that the outer-case is copied from Futaba excellent gyros.

If you want to save cash, get the Align/Telebee gyros, they're not a whole lot more expensive, and while they're not nearly as good as a GY240 or GY401 would be, they're still alot better than that piece of junk.

I suspect even a cheap Walkera gyro is better than that..

Alot of cheaper chinese stuff is fairly decent if you handle it properly, but some stuff, like this gyro, are just pure junk. It's one of the few overseas items i've purchased where I actually had buyers remorse.

Stay far, far away!

Haha, I bash this gyro every chance I get. If I can keep even one person from buying it, i'll have done my job.

The thing that really got me with this gyro is that it's not just a cheap electronic component. If that was the case, I could live with it. It's the fact that it's BLATANTLY mis-represented. The gyro clearly does NOT do what it states. Infact, the instructions that come with the gyro are just a copy of the GY401 instructions.

It's just really shady business practice and this kind of thing just should not be supported.
