Hey all

My Torpeda Pro (with aluminum upgrades) arrived today (pictures to follow)
I've read alot about not using the stock am radio, and I was going to pull the Futaba out of my electric. I went to pull the receiver from the Torpeda, and noticed it's FM! FM is better than AM, but is stock FM better than a Futaba AM?

The manual included with the buggy is really bad (very little info and bad english) so I'm going to have lots of questions of tuning.

Great pics man. Thanks for sharing

As for the radio, I'm pretty sure FM will beat AM anytime.

Nope, pulling the stock FM and going with my Futaba 2PL. It's AM, but at least I have EPA and dual steering rate. The buggy came with a GWS SO3T servo for the steering and a Himoto H3003. Does anyone know anything about the servos? I can't find any info on them. Wondering if I should replace one with the S3003 that came with my Futaba.

Thanks Eh!

Hmm the steering servo that originally came with it may be beefier than the s3003. I'm not sure though. You may wanna ask the guys on the 1/8th buggy thread.
For the throttle servo go ahead and use the futaba. It's going to be stronger.

Ya, already pulled the rx and tx out. Swapped it with my Futaba 2PH AM. I think I'll put the stock FM system on my electric and test it out though.
