Anyone heard from Yang?
I am waiting on the status of an order and my e-mails have gone unanswered for a week now.

Dom

Not for a week, either. Maybe vacation, or maybe he is just too busy, I see they are cranking out projects, the F-22, superscale F-16, and the bigger F-16. Dunno.

I heard from Yang today. He must have been on vacation or very busy last week.

Has anyone received a tracking number on their packages yet? Yang said that my order was shipped on Tuesday and that I would get a DHL tracking number the next day, but nothing has been sent. I have sent two e-mails to Yang looking for the tracking number but he has not replied. It seems as though the package should have been here by now also based on my experience with my last order.

Dom. I have a tracking number, but I also ordered F15 landing gear, so I am not sure if it is all in the one package. Yang did say the wing was dispatched.
I will just have to wait & see. The package still has a long way to go. It's in Hong Kong at the moment.

Regards

Jim

Guys:

DHL showed up with a little surprise today, my new wing! I had not even received notification from Yang that it had shipped yet, so I was quite surprised. It looks great! The wing finish is a little better in my opinion and it is pre-drilled for the ailerons which my previous kit was not. Yang also included a full markings set and replacement hinges for the ailerons and flaps as promised. The ailerons were also pre-drilled for the hinges. I am very pleased with the support from JetLegend in response to the issues with the previous wing and can't wait to get it in the air. The packaging was excellent and the wing arrived without a scratch from DHL.

One question is what the correct CG is for the new wing? There are no indications in the package with the new wing. Has anyone gotten this information from Yang? I will send him an email to request this information. Let's get em flying!

Hi Woody,

Yang is recommending 120mm back from the LD. I'm the process of moving battery packs rearwards...

Hello Woody,

How long do you have before you get to test fly. Also what turbine are you going to use. I am getting ready to order mine. For turbine I am debating a Artes falcon or bee. I want to get mine complete then weight it and decide then..

Later.

I am going to mount an MW54SS. I have all the formers installed and have been working on the cockpit to add a little scale realism. Also worked on dremelling out the slots in the outside panel of the airbrakes. The elevator is mounted and that is about as far as I have gotten. When all the doubt cropped up about the old wing, and we did not know how long it would take to get it sorted out, I switched to working on an EDF F-5. I am installing the fan in it this weekend which will finish it up and will switch back to working on the Hawk. Hope to have it ready in a few weeks for turbine install.

Hi Guys.

My new T-45 arrived today. I am absolutely stunned by what I found in the boxes!! The new wing is incredible. Very light (feels about ½ the weight of the old wing) and the quality is of a whole new level. I could not believe the completely redesigned fuselage. The quality is excellent. All moldings are much lighter than before. What a surprise to see the removable vertical fin. The stabs are lighter too. I bet this plane lost 2-3 pounds. It is obvious that Jetlegend is committed to quality and customer service. I can't wait to get this bird in the air. I will have to wait till next year since my flying season is all but over here in New York. This kit is going to be a winner. The P-70 had my old kit flying like a rocket. This one will be ballistic!!

I am about 70% through mine. Quality is excellent. The amount of attention paid to scale detailing is especially excellent.
Only snag I have run into so far is the pull strings for the air lines in the wings. No way they could make the 180 degree bends, the strings broke, I need to find another solution.

Clumsy ass! The tip is to pull some other stronger draw cable in using the original. Also use some tube - not something that can cut into the the woodwork and jam.

Did you actually DO it, or are you just talking theory?
I know I am NOT the only one who had this problem...

Try lamp chain from the hardware store if you need to snake something back through a convoluted pathway. You can feed it in until you've got a little bit piled up against a former or whatever then jiggle the part back and forth until it falls through the hole to the next obstructing bulkhead.
