anyone know of a CD with the Wittmann flicks? The U-tube segments are great but it would be nice to have a single CD. Too bad the Brittish narrator can't pronounce the SS Div Leibstandarte right...it's Lybe= body- not Leebe =love. Very informative and well made movies.

Lots of very good books to be had, although some may be hard to find. Here are some excellent books;

Panzer Leader (Indian pub=Panzar) by Gen Heinz Guderian RS.42.75 (?) Army Publishers, Delhi-6 India
Panzer Battles by Maj Gen F.W. von Mellenthin Uni of Oklahoma press
The Tigers are Burning by Martin Caidin Hawthorne Books, Inc
Rommel's Greatest Victory by Samual W Mitcham Jr Presidio Press ISBN 0-89141-656-0
Forging the Thunderbolt by Mildred Hanson Gillie The Military Service publishing Co. Harrisburg, PA

Panzer Battles is excellent, as General Mellinthin writes a very comprehensive assessment of the tanks he had comparing them with British and American tanks at that time. Very enlightening to know that the 139 Pz IIIs he had were outclassed by both the Crusader and even our"tin can" Stuarts in armor protection and his 5 captured Matildas were held in very high respect. He did use his short 75mm gun Pz IVs in tank vs tank battles, but they were better suited for inf support with HE.

Some of these books I obtained thru Ebay and a couple through book store searches.

Bill
