Hi, I have a panther and of course, want to paint it. Were they in the desert at all? Mine will probably be one solid color (again). i would like to do a multi color but with spray paint i think it would be too big of streaks. also i cant get the upper hall apart from the lower. what screws do you take out?

You need to take the tracks off and remove these screws

This is my Tiger but the Panther has the same bottom. (Screws 1 and 4 remove the back)

Holy Cow! I found the paint scheme I'm going to do. I barely had enough paint to finish the main coat.

i already painted with a brush. its all a dark tanish color (not as light as i wanted) with a orangish redish triangle pattern. i don't know if i should put little black and white dots everywhere though.

Its ok to paint it with a brush and colors dont have to be perfect. German tanks were issued in a base dark yellow starting in 1943. They came with tins of concentrate color which the crews had to thin with any liquid available. They also had to apply it with whatever means they could as well. Most had access to a compressor and sprayer in their maintenance platoons but it wasnt unheard of for them to apply it with a mop or brush. The patterns werent heavily standardised either. Tank companies would keep an overall theme with their vehicles but each platoon had a unique style. So go nuts and dont worry about accuracy. As long as it looks like it should be there.
