I have a Himoto Rapida, and it runs great. Fun car to drive. I lost a servo due to the servo wire getting ripped out by the rear drive shaft (it was not put together correctly). I emailed Exportpro.biz and they sent me the parts I needed. They lived up to their word though the car has a short warranty they did what they said they'd do, and I can respect that. The car I bought I knew what I was getting, and I have been very happy with it. I would like to see some changes in the suspension so that a bolt connects the shocks instead of screws, (I lost a shock the second time running it and I replaced the screws with bolts myself) and cheaper hop ups would be great, but I just thought I'd share my experience with Himoto.

I've taken good care of my car and never wrecked it. Damn it blazes then kicks into second gear and keeps going Best 150 bucks I ever spent. It is this car that has gotten me back into a hobby I left when I was 14. I bought a Redcat truck, and I feel pretty comfortable (that one is missing a battery thing I need to contact them to get the part). I think I'm going to get a pair of savages, a pair of serpents, two helicopters, a pair of boats. Yes everything must come in pairs haha While a lot of people see it as their right to knock these inexpensive cars, they have a lot more good points about them than bad and if you can find me a RTR car for 150 bucks new, please show me the way heh.

Thanks Himoto you brought me back to RC! I wish you guys good business, and a steady improvement in your manufacturing. Sure there are bumps, but keep at it! Don't let people get you down or turn you guys into pessimists the angry vocal minority is just that, and they're never satisfied with anything anyway they have no clue what it takes to get a company going well, take pride in your company and keep working to do better every day! There are lots of us that do appreciate your contribution to the RC world.

Hi all, I just got a hispeed warhead nitro buggy with four wheel drive and a 2 speed trans. I got it all broke-in like I am supposed to, but I have not heard it kick into 2nd gear yet. Is there something I am missing as far as trany adjustments or does it need more breaking in ? PLease advise. Thanks

These photo's should help you if they don't just ask and I or someone will help you. You want to turn the screw only little turn's at a time then drive it and see how it shifts. Make sure to not turn the screw all the way out or you will loose the screw and the spring and the check ball that's in there. hope this help's and enjoy and have a happy new year. Eric P.S. The deeper screw is the set screw to hold the slipper clutch on the shaft. If you need more photo's or help just ask. Have fun. Eric p.p.s. the photos were taken by someone else,

Eric, where are you trying to get a real forum going?

if you have the means, RCU can have one up and rolling in a half an hour.

Kudos to giddyuperic!!!!!!!!!! Any lesser man would've given up already! You've been bashed, smashed and trashed.....yet, you still survive! Half way through this forum.....I started laughing.....I mean, what the heck do some people want? You know? Guess you can't make everyone happy! Although, I have to admit, in the beginning, you had me wondering why you were not be very "straight" with your answers.....then, torwards the end, it's was like," What the hell are these guys talking about?....Can't they see this is a company forum"? I mean, look 46u is obviously an intelligent guy, but what the heck is he ranting about fuel on the Himoto forum? LMAO!!!!!! Now.....I want everyone to know I am not bashing anybody....but, I surely hope this can be a real, genuine Himoto support forum from here on out!!! However, sorry Eric, I'm just too much of a Tamiya/Traxxas fan to convert to Himoto! I wish you luck.....hey, I had my own support forum, too. Some of the people that I got there .....man, they would talk trash and everything else but what I was there for. So I know how you feel as you've gone through this. But, I also think you've learned your lesson......just tell it to them "straight"....cause you'll catch hell if ya don't. But, then.....even if you do.....some will never be happy! My best wishes to you in your endeavor!

Sincerely,

ob1n

Eric, I went to adjust my tranny like you said to do and found that there is no set screw in the hole. Infact there was nothing there but the threads. Where can I get another set of these at and where can I pick up some extra and some upgrades. Thanks Frank

Are you sure there is no screw in there? Is there one in the other hole? And if you have lost the screw then that would be the reason you are not shifting you are stuck in first grear. And yes you can get the hole thing it is called a slipper clutch. You can get it for five bucks from clermount motorsports or allaboutthefun hobbies or redcat or exportpro.biz and himotoracing.com. Give all of the a try but the two first one's have better price's and you might as well buy two of them. Hope this helps. Eric
