I got a email from Kevin Feinberg and still do not understand what I am saying which means I will have to make yet another long distance phone call Tuesday. Some say the offer expired at the end of July but I got another coupon that worked up till about a week ago that said ends August 31st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounding very peculiar to me!!!!!!!!!!!

Has there been any further development on the micro transceiver? Last I heard it was waiting for fcc approval, but that was months ago. I'm waiting until its available until going Nomadio per I need them for 1/18ths. And no, I don't want "da slow mode". It would help to know where in the process its at as I need to buy a new pcm receiver, and would rather save the money.

46u they have a toll free number so its not long distance and even if it was long distance phone rates have dropped so much most cell companies now do not charge for LD calls. Land lines are a few cents a minute. The offer ended in July. must shoot him a free email Kfeinberg@nomadio.net

I heard Micro receiver is already on the market under another brand name all Nomadio has to do is turn the program on in the react.

Mini ME, waiting on Nomadio to do something is like watching epoxy paint dry that has not had the activator added!

I wonder if the Airtronics receiver will work, I guess that is the one you are talking about TQrcRacing?

Sorry I have not found a toil free number will you please post it. I talked to Kevin Feinberg today and he said the promotion runs through August 31st just like the last coupon I had said. He said they had him disable the coupons since the promotion was about over which seems ridicules since it is not over! If any one still wants to get in on the promotion just have to use your radio number.

Order a React and register it before August 31 when registering use this referral number and you can get a free temperature sensor or $20 off a hard case 9878ff17. I was told for those that all ready registered and did not use the referral number can do so and still get a free temperature sensor.

I was pretty much told there RC radio at Nomadio is not their main concern but the government contracts are. Which I understand to a degree. So far I have not had a problem getting their receiver in my Hyper 8 radio box. I do have the up dated one that is a LITTLE bigger.

I do not know who Karlton is on the Nomadio help forum I do know he is a site administrator and is a VERY poor representation of a human much less a representative for Nomadio!! If I had an employee belittle customers the way he does he would be looking for a job! Most at Nomadio are very good people but there is all ways one in every bunch!

Well, I just bought this Nomadio React, and I have to say, I couldn't be happier. The most important thing is, this radio has eliminated ALL my glitching problems. Even when I plug the ignitor into the glow plug, no glitching at all. And also, I get awesome range. I was able to drive the car until I could barely see which way it was facing. Time to get that wireless camera for my speed tests. The computer interface is great. It's nice to have the ability to save and restore multiple backup settings to PC, not to mention of course the firmware updatability (welcome to 2007 by the way; I wonder why it has taken so long to get a radio with a USB interface). And telemetry rules. Great to see receiver pack voltage and received signal strength in real time. This is THE radio to get. It's like I'm driving a new car. Can't wait to play with the ABS functions.

One nice thing that I learned from the receiver voltage telemetry reading. I get a huge voltage drop from my alkaline AA pack whenever I move the servos and draw current. This prompted me to research the discharge rating on these alkalines. Sure enough, a standard AA is only good for a few hundred milliamps. My digital servos are prolly drawing a couple amps in total, when they're running. In fact I could see both receiver voltage and received signal strength drop significantly in real time whenever I moved the servos. Crappy AAs. Time for that 10C lipo receiver pack.

Do you have to use some special antenna tube?

Yeah, that's what I did actually. I used a soda straw. Trimmed the length of the straw down so the white part of the Nomadio antenna sticks out. Then I cut a short lengthwise slit at the bottom of the straw to allow it to fit over the *outside* of the antenna hole on my Ofna's receiver box. Then I used a bit of superglue to attach the straw to the receiver box, and finally I slid the receiver antenna through. Works like a charm. I was able to get the whole antenna exposed. The React manual says you only need to expose the white tip of the receiver antenna, but I figured if I could stretch the whole thing out then why not.

Of course, I insisted on the Type-R straws you only get at the higher-end Walmarts, for that extra 5 HP. None of that cheapo McDonalds garbage for me!

I just purchased the Spektrum Mini Receiver (3500) as I read that the Nomadio React would work with any of Spektrum's receivers. However, I have been unsuccessful in getting it to bind. I have an RC18T and the regular Nomadio Transceiver was simply too large. Anybody had experience using a Nomadio React with the Spektrum Mini Receiver?

Thanks!

James

I do not have the mini Spectrum RX but do have mine where it works with the Spectrum SR 3000. Do you have a model made for it on the React and do you have the transceiver set for DSS Beta in the advance menu?
