Really? I got a few packs from them and they've been good. What's your issue with them?

What kind of upgrade to the trasmitter battery are you guys doin? I'm very impressed with the radio, not impressed with the battery life.

ballistic batteries 2500 mah - I used it for 1 hour of RUN TIME one weekend, and then another 3 HOURS the next weekend...and it is still going strong...a definate must have upgrade...

I am going to do some experiments with how long the stock 800 and the cheap battery pack 2500 last with the radio on after a full charge. Does not seem that the 2500 last much longer then the 800 and I would think that it would last 3 times what the 800 will. May be I am not charging them properly I am using a peak charger set on .7 amps and 4 mv/c.

Are you using there React pack? If so which one?

I am by NO means a battery expert (I am pretty much clueless here), but I charge my 2500 ballistic pack at .5 amp max (usually at .30 or so) to really pack the mah in there..I typically get about 2700-2900 mah in there (into a fully discharged pack). If I need a quick charge, I charge em at .70 amps though...also, I noticed that the volts tend to drop down quickly on the ballistic pack (well, relatively quickly), but they tend to stabilize and hold steady (when using them for many hours). Not sure how low they will go, as I have yet to have it dump on me, but I would imagine it would be after about 5-6 hours of runtime (actual run time, which should be more then enough for about any day of racing at any track

I have tied both .5 and .7 amps and if I am lucky if I can get 2 hours of run time on my 2500 pack. Do you have a direct link to the battery pack you have or did I over look in on the link you posted above?

Neither question do others have problems with the battery cover coming off on there react?

No but I have a few Rx packs from them. No problems yet. I cycle them a couple of times when new and that's it.

here ya go:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/10186

My bad..it is 2700 mah..not 2500..it usually will pack it in there around 2700-2900 mah..much closer to the rated capacity then other batteries I have tried (sorry for the misinformation above..I had to go back and check my numbers). And yes, my batter cover does pop off every now and then..a tape job is in order...

Honestly, the only gripe I have with the React is the actual quality of the radio case..is is not the most solid feeling unit, and the battery cover popping off is a PITA, but the performance is so good and the features so good, I can overlook that...plus, the light weight is welcome in a 30 minute main!

For $34 it better be a good battery and many be that is what is wrong with mine as I only paid $16 with shipping for my 2500. Yes I cycle my battery packs before I use them the first time.

My grips with the my React are the screen is way to small for a half blind 53 year old man, the battery cover keeps popping off and the battery rattles around. I had some issues with my first React and they replaced it with a new one.

Are they going to stop making the React radio? I am getting ready to buy a new radio for my revo, and want to be able to buy more RX units for all my cars in time. If not the react then wich radio should i get that is 2.4 and has most of the same features.

They quite making the Sensor but still make the React and both use the same RX. You will not find another radio that has as many features as the React right now.

After peaking both my stock 800mah and the 2500 mah battery pack I got from Cheap Battery Pack.com I put them one at a time in the radio and turned it on. The 800 lasted 3 hours and the 2500 lasted just a little over 4 hours. Being the one I got from Cheap battery pack .com is over 3 times more I would have thought it would have lasted more then one hour over the stock battery. Talked to Mike at Cheap Battery Pack.com and I am going to send the pack back. I will keep all posted on how it turns out.

My battery door falls off too from time to time. But in terms of operation, speed, and features, the React is awesome. I never thought a radio would make my racing/driving experiance so much better. Thanks everyone for the battery tip!
