HBX, Who else owns one??
I mean E-bay is selling Heaps of the HBX Skylines, Fury Buggies and now the market is growing bigger with the Bonzer Tiger Monster Trucks
So If e-bay is selling thousands of these , then there must be a few owners floating around here..
Who Cares if they are a Tamiya Knock off.. I dont...
I am loving my Bonzer Tiger! Think of it as a Tamiya Stadium Raider on a Wild Dagger rims...
I am having a ball with the Bonzer..
I mean its Cheap as chips and gets good air and take a fair Bashing...
So who else loves theirs!!!
I am thinking of Starting a HBX Bonzer club lol

You gotta love their Out of the Box ability and their design and being able to use HBX parts or parts from the Tamiya TL-01

Was'nt the Blackfoot a 2WD??
The Bonzer is AWD.. Looks like a Stadium Raider but with Twin Dagger Wheels.
Or consider it a Twin Dagger missing 1 motor..
Ah who cares its Big fun for little money..

I've actually got two HBX cars. The Bonzer (Cross Tiger) and the Speedy Cobra. At least I think the Speedy is an HBX. The Bonzer manual says HBX Rival on the cover but it came with the truck. It's good to hear that they do ok since we haven't had a chance to run them yet.

RE: HBX, Who else owns one??
I think it is because of the cost, the conversion rates just make the Bonzer a little lighter on the pocket
I mean there is an Excellent TL-01B / Bonzer Tiger Page but it all in Polish so I cant get the answers I need off it..
Good thing is I can get the HBX Boonzer parts throgu h my LHS stor so I can afford to spend a little money on Modding mine and testing its limits...

RE: HBX, Who else owns one??
Got a Cross Tiger myself. The only downer about them is the gearing. It's way, *way*, WAY overgeared, due to those huge tires. If I could find a 1.85:1 gearbox, it'd be golden. That's the ratio needed to pull the rollout back down comparable to a TC.
Overall, it's pretty cool though. It sits up on the shelf with all my other cars. Probably gets about as much use as most. mostly my kids drive it.

RE: HBX, Who else owns one??
Those HBX Bonzers aren't that amazing in my eyes. From what I see you have to charge it for 2hrs 15mins then you get 10mins play. They could have tried harder with the battery...

RE: HBX, Who else owns one??
Well well well...
I have been selling the HBX cars for the last 14 months (big seller last xmas).
It seems they're finally getting about a bit eh?
People are attracted by the price; but remmember, these are expensive rtr toys. They are not designed for modifying at all.
We urge people do not re-gear it, nor go beneath a 23T motor (even there you will lose tourque- I've seen it first hand)
Suspension is pretty bouncy, but that's how they made it. I guess you could go with a set of oil shocks but it would probably make it less fun to drive.
They are a cheap and cheerfull toy, keep 'em that way!
And the Batteries (latest shipment) are 1800 Mah, good enough for nearly 20 mins. Remmember, the first time you charge it you need to charge it for longer...
Chris.
