Meh, just go to your home depot and look for similar screws. I doubt it's a machine screw, so it shouldn't matter too much, as long as it's the same size and a similar thread.

Most hobby shops would look down on HBX cars...

Take out the same screw from the other side of the car and bring it with you when you go to the hardware store. Find one that looks just like it (color doesn't matter). Otherwise for bigger parts (you'll need them eventually) get parts for a Tamiya TL-01B chassis. The Bonzer has a generic TL-01B chassis.

Ok guys wanted to post this today but I was just a tad busy ! I got the HBX radared today and it showed what I thought it would .
I ran four passes and the fastest was at 26mph this is all stock truck except the body which is the 1/10 grave digger body.
I had to go to the LHS for my stampede was acting real funny turned out the motor had slipped and the clutch gear had backed out .
But the owner wanted to see the HBX in person for if he likes it he was going to try to get with the Manufacture to start carrying it ! He said he would be able to sell it at a lower intro level cost . We even talked about some mods like skid plates and some other options .
All I can say is that the truck is holding its own with the big dogs ! Its also holding together better than I thought to a 6 yr olds bashing "straight into curbs and over them" .

Take care all just wanted to post that info for all!

Yes, we know. You have a proper name-brand Chinese made truck. We have all got the message. Many times. HBX are too cheap to be cool.

Even if they are identical to the Tamiya T10B and cost less.

Use the screw Tamiya uses.

As a manufacturing engineer, I'd be suprised if any company today made their own screws. So I think we can safely say the screw has not been designed fior the truck. It will be a standard size screw. In fact, most companies nowadays (in any product) will try to specify the exact same size screws throughout an entire product (i.e. standardise on fixings) to improve supply chain and manufacturing efficiency and aid maintenance.

Does anyone have any extra MB1 screws for the Bonzer Cross Tiger. Its a 4x11.5 step screw. I cant find any and it would be greatly appreciated if someone either had an extra one they woudl be willing to give me or point me in the direction of someone in the US that sells tehm. I have searched everywhere and cant find any at all. I m just short one screw.

Eh, that's weird. The MB1 is different on the TL-01 to my DI. Obviously Tamiya don't use the same part bag references. I assume they would have..

Just our luck, the MB1 is listed in the parts list at the back of the manual, but no part no.? All the other ones have it...

This was the closest i got.

Ya know, you could just ring up Tamiya and tell them you have a tl01 (lie) and ask for an MB1 screw...

Hi, A big "Happy new year" from the UK to everyone on this thread.

I guess that you have probably sorted yourself with this problem now, but just in case you haven't this may be of use.

As a Bonzer, Cross Tiger owner myself I too have had the search for parts.

There is an online shop in Germany called Seben Racing, they sell every part that makes up the Bonzer Monster truck, the Max Power Buggy and the equivalent road racer.

They sell a pack of 4 x MB1 screws for 4.99 Euro's (£3.34) Sorry I don't know the conversion rate to your currency off hand.

This is their site address. http://www.seben-racing.com/

Hope this helps.

P.S. If anyone could recommend a source for a set of oil filled shock absorbers for a BonzerI would be much appreciated.

I hate to say it, but from what I've seen, Seben Racing is a joke. They claim they build these things and customize them but all of their cars are exactly the same as the other ones. They have 3 different 1:10 RC electric cars, they all have the same exact descriptions and specifications, however they have different body styles and for some reason have a difference in price??? Also, in their descriptions they put:

Contents of Delivery:
1 x Seben Chassis inclusive
1 x Seben Car Body with exclusive individual design inclusive
1 x Seben Colt Remote Control in pistol-grip design inclusive

The problem.... NONE of these things are Seben. It's the same exact Bonzer truck that can be purchased for less money virtually anywhere else! They claim that the body has an "exclusive individual design" except that it's the same Bonzer body that comes on any Bonzer you get anywhere. Plus, they use the same Bonzer body on their gas cars too! Now THAT's exclusive individual design!

I have never personally dealt with Seben, however seeing all of these false claims on their web site sets off a LOT of warnings bells...

As far as oil filled shocks, get a set of oil filled shocks for a Tamiya Baja King. They have the same chassis, so the shocks will fit perfect.

This page http://pirzol.dyndns.info/ has a TON of useful info, including some crazy mods and hop-ups! The suspension stuff is awesome! The only problem is, it's in Polish. If you run it through http://translate.google.com it's somewhat understandable. The pics are worth looking at at the very least!
