Hi Bob,

Drafting up airframes as I talked to you about in a PM or two recently - what run time could be expected from a piped .60LX running 19-20K on one of yer bubbless 8oz tanks? I am pretty sure 8oz would be about right for an XS airplane but wanted to make sure. I run 8oz in my Magnum/West .50 and the flight time is about all I care for.

Good question.... not hard to answer. The 60LX burns about the same fuel rate as the Q-500 engines. At continuous full throttle, figure on about 1.8 oz per minute.

A Q-500 tends to be good for a 60 second start time, 90 seconds of racing, and about 30-60 seconds of post flight/shut down. So on the 6oz bubble jett, that is about 3.5 minutes total.

A 60LX, with a little throttle management in flight, idle for start up and taxi time, idle speed for approach and landing - can do a bit better.
