Personally I dont care how much metal is in a kit, as long as its good quality. I think the only bad thing is that it costs more than a semi, but mostly becasue its new.

I totally agree. I don't like 100% metal t maxxs or savages. I think they are excessive but metal in some key places where they add durability and quality is key. The f-350 has metal in the key locations but it does not, in my opinion, have enough metal (high cost material) to justify its high cost.

Here are steps 21-24. I skipped the front brush-guard, I'm probably not going to be using that in my build. We'll see how it turns out, then add if necessary.

SOME COMMENTS ON THE SHOCKS:

I'm actually extremely impressed with the quality. The action is pretty soft with the grease that is included, but with the leaf springs the action couldn't be much harder.
I have to say that the shocks feel like true after market parts, heavy, high quality and well designed. Even without the "oil" filled aspect, they are way nicer than I imagined.

And that's exactly the problem I had w/ those shocks..

They are too nice to be throw away items.. so why not make them oil shocks to begin with?!!?

Tamiya.......

After the day's I've been building, I'll confess that it was a relief not to have to build the oil shocks.

5 minutes and I had 4 shocks up and running. lol, Normally I'm all about the build process, seems like I've been shy on time.

Anyway, I would like oil filled shocks as well, just for the authenticity. These friction shocks are pretty nice though!

Did you get some nice aluminum hex for the car?! I'd recommend some 6mm Tamiya aluminum drive hex...

Tell me about it, I always dread the shock builds...

I think those shocks should do the job just fine. The leaf springs will limit the travel so much that I don't think oil shocks are all that necessary. The kit is looking great, hunter!

Whoa, is the bruiser that much bigger or is it just the way they are photoed? That green is really nice. Reminds me of the iPOD green

They are definitely not the same scale, but the same size. The real 350 would dwarf the Toyota.

Very true tex.

In fact in that picture, the High Lift and the Bruiser are same height and the same length. In stock form, the F350 is actually a little more than a half-inch lower than the bruiser. I ended up doing a 5/8" body lift on the F350 to get it to look a little more scale (in my opinion).

Anyway, It's just sitting there, tonite I need to add the electronics and get the top secured.
