Does anyone know if any of the GO motors have been on the xtreme dyno?

Hey slayer ... I picked up a GO 3pt R for myself and a Sport for my dad last week. We got everything running and drove up to Daytona before finding out the race was cancelled. How is the new track layout?

Oh man i'm sorry,

Our track pres. is a retard and will soon be gone.

Mike scheduled everything and at the last min Brad wants to cancel the race. Needless to say there was some pissed people.

Hardest thing about the new lay out is driving the opposite direction. Other wise its pretty fun, and faster. With all the rain we have been having the track has major traction right now, but the track needs some work though the faces of the jumps kinda got screwed. I think we will be working on it this weekend.

Have you drove the R-spec yet?

Running 3 Go engines now although i damaged the piston by doing something stupid, but just been breaking in a 5 Port .21 (Moves my Mugen no trouble at all even with rich settings!) and jesus is it hard to turn over from new! Had to blow torch the engine to 300F! (Dont try it at home unless you have experiance).

The 7 Port is very fast, dont be put off by the name or the price it will compete with 99% of the top engines at half the price. I only use 50% throttle at my track, any more and you crash!

I have a question about the carb inserts, looking to put a smaller one in the 7 Port to slow it down a little, does it just restrict the air flow? Do i have to retune the engine?

I ran my 7 port with a 7mm insert last year and had no power problems ..ran 12 minutes a tank too..and yes you will have to retune just a fraction on the hsn...mine was about a 1/4 turn leaner from memory...but don't take that as gospel..just tune as you would without a restrictor....

Absolutly these GO engines are the best engines for the price and can compete with high dollar engines, since i've been using these engines i've had a really hard time justifying buying more expensive motors for what I do,

Seriously, why buy a C6 when you just bash or goto the track to practice.. its like driving the lambo to wal-mart, you just look stupid.

I'm with both of you..I'm running a 7 port and a 3 port modded by massive mods..the 7 port particularly is savage and I'm going to be trying the 7mm insert again..I was running an RB ws7II and this eats it easily...and I can get a piston sleeve rod kit for $95 from massive which is half the cost of the equivalent from RB....engines form probably the single most expensive consumable in this hobby/sport and halving the cost without sacrificing any power or longevity has gotta be the way to go....Italian engines have a well deserved history and pedigree but the prices go up and up every year..If GO engines deliver why continue to pay for a "name"...

I haven't had a chance to run either of the new motors on a track. I broke them in on a Hudy stand with the heat-cycle method before heading up to Daytona. We drove to my dad's place in Titusville after finding out the track was closed and ran a tank through each in his back yard. These motors are very different from the Sirio EVO3 (which met an untimely death due to a zip-tie malfunction). I'm going to be down in Ft Lauderdale tomorrow, so I'll run it on their track.

I'll be out there tonight, its free practice.

Next Club Race is gonna be on August the 8th, track needs some work from all the rain killing the jumps,

Hey Chris, you should come down on the 8th I plan on racing that day, Its a club race but anyone can race, it just cost you 2 dollars more lol, its 15 bucks to race. 13 for members.. what a perk huh.

And hopefully i'll have a new gen R-spec to race with.

Just got back from the track in Ft Lauderdale. I got about 90 minutes of track time with the 3p R on a Turmoil Pro with 0801 pipe. The track was really nice and had a couple of sections where you could do a triple.

The good ... the engine sounded great and made good power.

The not so good ... I couldn't get good run times and keep the temperature down. I ended up turning the EPA down to 48% which got me up from 2 laps per tank to 5. I just finished reading a thread on a rival forum and I'm pretty sure the problem I had was due to a rich HSN and lean LSN.

Can some one tell me if a P3 plug is good for a 7port with 30%nitro and 90' air temps. I just figured I should run a colder plug. I am about to breakin my motor and was just wondering. I also installed the other head shim that came with it. I am hoping that will help me during breakin. Thanks in advance for any help.

p3 is a good plug for any condition. and yea, thats your best bet for break-in. Just make sure your heating that puppy up!
