I just logged on to RCU for the first time in a couple of weeks and I just about fell off my chair! I am apparently not getting notifications of thread updates. Live Wire has obviously been real busy cutting wood and you Rcartf.co.uk as well for putting a site together. THIS is what I imagined when I started this project! I am going to get together all my files and pics from Grace and send them to you. I should have quite a bit of info in various formats so it may take a little bit to decipher. But, if you need something, or want it converted in a different format then drop me a line.

Where would you like the info sent? Would you prefer it be burned on a CD or sent over email?

My attempts so far for contacting Flybug for the original Grace have not gotten a response yet. I have contacted his club and I have a few more avenues so don't give up hope yet.

Lesson learned
Can you believe shipping to places is more than the plane is worth, short hops are not bad. Last one left for Liberal Kansas

I have set her up as a "Grace-E" before and it works well. The larger prop requires a little adjustment for torque but other than that I find it has great climb and overall good performance. Here is it running a BM-2408-21 swinging an 8x4 on 11.1v.

Well "Grace-E" sounds better than "E-Grace", so that whats she shall be if thats ok with you. The only thing i am not sure of, is will the motor i have be able to fly her. it is only about 70 watts at 7 amps. I was thinking of 2S 500 ma battery. mainly because i already have all of this, to try.

70W should be adequate for trainer style flying. To fly at 7 amps though, I think your battery should be rated at 15C to be safe. Is that right all you lekky guys?

it's a bit tight on a 500mah @15c for 7ah. if this is static then it should drop when in the air, but i think i'd go at least 20c or 750mah to be on the safe side myself. then agian, i normally fly petrol so what do i know

the 500 is 20c, i also have a 900 ma and i think it is going to need it, it is tail heavy, the little motor is to light. it is going to weigh 12.5 oz with the bigger battery. I now have it ready to fly, but not good weather for a few days or week. Good job Larry

Larry, got a test flite acouple of days ago , it was a lttle windy for this little plane. it flew a little tail heavy, which is what it showed. I didnt want to add any weight, but i may have to.

Wes
Just put some stand offs on the motor and move it out a little. Check the thrust angle of your motor. Once you get it set up it will fly OK.
