Make sure the right thrust of the engine you have built in is no more than that shown on the plan. I believe it calls for about 2 degrees. Do not go over that, as you may be having to use too much left trim (ail and / or rudder) to counter act excessive right thrust, making for the out of trim left turn condition at low throttle or dead engine.

Alex, thanks for the tip! I couldn't find any 3views, but I found another scheme I like a lot.

Are these real color schemes or made up? I couldn't find any real pics of these 2 schemes.

thanks,V.

Ok took the Beaver out of the box for the first time (I've had it for a while) it's HUGE & I'm considering leaving the paint scheme as is for now... looks pretty darn good like this.

I've never flown of floats, so I'm putting some floats on my Ultra Stick first. So this build might still be a while... But I'm looking forward to it

Having seen the same plane at a friend's,I would suggest some more re-enforcement around the firewall, and around the wing mounting area.I found the fiberglas a little flimsy and in need of stiffening just behind the rear door( couple of gussets and uhu glue).Be sure to check the wing inclination,as many Kmp beavers were more than the model called for.Good luck, and of course, merry christmas to all.Alex

@ aviateur; Merci mon ami!

@ Alex; Thanks for the heads up. I did notice the walls around the cabin a little "frail". The joints are also lacking in "contact" with each other, I will use some Hysol there too. Which UHU glue are you referring to? I have seen many types. Thanks

Cheers,V.

a2, yes I speak your language You must be a Quebecois "French pea soup"

I am also 1/2 French Canadian. Lived a long time in Quebec City.

Regarding the UHU glue, here in EU we have many different sorts of UHU glues (it's a Germany based Co.) but maybe they export only one kind to Canada (?) does it come in a blue box?

Vasek, try the kind of glue that expands in the presence of moisture(seam filling)and a very strong bond to fiberglas. It wont take much to make that Passenger compartment totally rigid, without adding much weight.Martin's big beaver actually has a wire subframe imbedded around the front windshield, really strengthening the wing mounting to fuselage.Alex

Hi Max. Your Turbo Beaver looks great on floats. Outstanding job! I'll have to repower mine likely if I want to do any float flying. I did convert my 6ft Unionville Radial Beaver to floats but didn't get a chance to fly it yet.
Just finishing up a Grumman Tracker (see RC Groups - Scale) if interested.  flytreetimes
