I made mine initially just to find the optimum with zero nitro but the same could be done for any % nitro. The only drawback was that a tacho is needed because combustion pressures made it impossible to adjust at high throttle settings so I had to come back to idle, adjust, then go back to full throttle to check the result. It worked so well I just left it on the engine when it went back into a model for flying.

The adjustable head I made for my ST G51 was to try to limit the power available when it broke from a 4 stroke to a 2 stroke (CL stunt). This wasn't successful because it also reduced the power available in the 4 stroke mode by about the same amount. I never experimented for maximum power on that engine because it wasn't what I was looking for but I'm getting the urge to try it .
