hi im new to this forum, come to think of it im new to forums
anyway im posting this to ask for advice and pics of everyones rush evos and rushes
i bought a second hand rush evo (first nitro car) off an internet auction.
it was "not tuned properly" in other words knackerd,i fixed it up and now it is going great (took 2 months+!!!) i am wondering why the back part where the gear box is, is gettin soaked in oily feul stuff i am gonna get an exhaust deflector and new feul tubing to try n fix it but otherwise it is the exhaust its self im gonna get (the whole exhaust coz it is still fully stock) ill try and get pics soon

i also want to know what r the best hop ups to get coz it realy needs hopped out
and one last thing i want to know any little tips to up performance ( i have already opend the exhaust header... or thats what i think its called anyway... the part that attaches the pipe to the engine)

please send pics... this is your chance to show ya car

thanks again
i own a rush evo...

o.k i own a rush evo.....

i would suggest the larger air filter, dynasty exhaust pipe, alu rear arm, front wont wont need replacing as they flex and help the evo run a lil smoother...., i run 155 nitro in mine useing o'doneils fuel, very good and rich in oil, i would also suggest you get yellow soft springs for the front, purple harder springs for the rear to keep it from grounding from bumps with about a 40% shock weight in the shocks, stock is about 10% so it will make it firmer, il add some pic, i didnt mod mine much at all but what i have done makes a big difference.
the other thing is make sure your bottom end needle is flush with carb and tune the top end so there is a nice trail of smoke behind the evo and the top speed and acceleration is good, do a spit test if you do not have a gauge, drip of water or spit, if it boils of within 3 sec its to leans, if it stays there longer its a little rich, which is better for engine life anyway so just play with it...lol

hope this helps

could do, you will have to get the engine mounts, i would prob suggest the 18ss... its so much fun, i had it it but took it out when i sold it.. its a good motor, you dont want to much power or it will just spin from the rear...

and only buy a used motor if you no how it has been used, some are rubbish..( hence they sell them...)

i have seen on the nosram website that the 18 rs would fit in the place of any .15 engine so woulnd it fit directly in the place of the standard t-15
looknosram engine
i hope this link works (first timer)
i get confused about all the engines n stuff coz i am still a beginner that hasnt done anything with engines...

it will fit but....

the t-15 is a rear exhaust system??... and u will need to measure the size of engine mounts to fit it in.. phone the company, they are good motors!!... i am gettin a nosram 28 for my savage...
check with them, see if they sell the engine mounts, but it should be cool, but deff phone them...

hey i have an nosram rs 18 in my rush look at the pic below... and it is very good for a replacement (good for money) i got mine a year ago now and it is still running well. And you deffinatley do have to get the mounts for it because the stock t-15 has bottom mounting holes on the engine aswell as the side ones lol. the nosrams only have the side mounts which therefore need the mountings or will not be able to fit it into the car. I got my mounts for £4.99 . i have some more updated pictures of my rush if you want to see them...? If ever you guys need any help again just ask me as i am an experianced nitro r/c racer... look at the picture (rs 18, k&n filter, neon fuel/primer filter.

sorry i havent replied in a while i have been buisy with school work anywhay

nice truck where r the mounts from i am realy considering it well actualy a dont have enough £££ but ...
i have filed ports on mi t-15 engine its quite good but it uses up the feul like crazy also

how do u get better acceleration and bottom end speed without sacraficing top speed (preferably cheap)

oh and is there an air filter that will point forwards because that will increase air flow and speed?? i think, or an air scoop

hey ' i own a rush'...
i got the engine mounts from the nosram website (www.nosram.com) and the best way to get better acceleration is to get a clutch bell with more teeth.... or even a spur gear. And about the air filter, it doesnt matter which way its facing because the air gets sucked into the carb and thats all it needs. but if you really want a power air filter (on road) a k&n filter like mine(about another 5% accelleration... but off road then one from the modelsport site (www.modelsport.co.uk). hope this helps you
