sonsight -> Safest Electric Source? (11/20/2006 2:07:15 AM)

Hello Everyone,
I am at a point where I need to find the safest source of electric power for my Condor Magic. I fly in a 2000' by 600' (roughly) clearing in the Rocky Mountain forest, where a LI-Po fire could land me in big trouble. I am flying a 110" Condor Magic saiplane, 6', AXI 2140/14, 12/8 Graupner folding prop. I this product worth investigating, our should I look at Apogee's LiMn?
Jake

Hello Jake,

Our product is defiantly worth investigating. Aside from our safe characteristics (we are not prone to the LiPo fires that everyone fears).
We also offer:

Incredibly high discharge rates (30C continuous 60C pulse)
Very high lifetimes 5-10X longer than other batteries
And Quick charge capabilities (charge at 5C, fully charged in as little as 15 minutes)

Our customers have had great success in their sailplane applications with these batteries. One person in particular is flying a 130” Omega with a 20 x 12 Carbon Folding prop. I am unsure of the motor he is using but know that he is using a 4S pack very well. He reports that this glider has an incredible amount of power a great deal more than he was expecting.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Brian
