Status: offline 		hey guys i just thought i would put this out there... a few months back i made i instruction manual for the redcat volcano basically telling the "how to's" from purchase to breakin and so on!

I did this for a guy on here and it was supposed to go directly to darin at redcat. now what all intailed in this was this "guy" didnt have the time to make the manual so he shipped me a brand new volcano stx that he got from darin at redcat to make this manual. I did all the work on it and took all the pictures and wrote out the enitre thing myself!! now after all was said and done i recieved no credit on it and this guy was givin a redcat dealer password and made a dealer!! i go nothing.... he told me to keep the truck so i did and was going to give it as a present to my father-in-law but this person said no dont give it away.. then about 2 weeks later he called me on the phone and told me to ship the volcano out to a guy cause he sold it right from under me after he told me that i could keep it!!

now i got like maybe 50 bucks out of the whole thing but that was it! he got the dealer priviliges and all... now i had been talking to eric from redcat before he left them and he was going to make an effort on gettin me the credit for this but he never had the chance too!! now i still have the original copy of the manual on my computer in microsoft publisher format and adobe reader format. and if any of you that own a volcano would like a copy send me a pm and your email and i'll send ya one

Status: offline 		did you copywrite the manual? And did they "steal" it? If so, that is highly illegal. You didn;t give up the truck did ya? I would have told him where to go for screwing you over!

Status: offline 		i did not get a chance to copywrite it and didnt know how to go about doing it!! the guy that i did this for had me ship the truck out cause he did a trade on here through the market place and got the trade first and then told me to ship this truck i had out. so basically i got screwed on everything!! now as far a i know darin supposibly has this copy already when I emailed it to him months ago but i far as i know nothing was ever done with it!! now how do i go about this and what should i do??? all i want is credit for doing this and maybe made a dealer (if thats even possible now?) if you guys can help email me at blackdogfd@yahoo.com and let me know if there is anything i can do with this!!! thanks!!

Status: offline 		I know who your takin bout but i think you should keep calling darinand find out what is goin on dont stop until you get to talk to him personallty from what ive seen and heard he is a pretty good guy and i dfeel he should have the moral to do the right thing unlike the person who screwed you and just for the record i havent seen him round here sionce this happened what a coward

Status: offline 		What was his name? A person so worthless deserves to be brought out and ran through the ringers! I'da told him,"ya know what buddy,you said I could keep it,I'm keeping it... Stick it and flip it,and have a nice day *click*" as long as you had the PM's or phone calls or whatever sayin you get the truck in return for your work I dont think he could have done anything about it. I would have emailed or called the person he did the deal with and explain to them why they wont be getting your truck. Sucks to have that happen,seems like everything has kinda gone down the shoot round here. Does that Darin even come around anymore? We dont have any support what so ever now days huh???.... Sucks... Funny thing is,things could turn around,money could be made with some better quality plastics and a little more support/interaction here (I'm sorry,after all this time I dont believe they've done a darn thing to make progress on quality). Still lovin my nado xp though .

Status: offline 		i know thats the thing he said keep it and then traded it to a guy from the market place from under me saying that i had to ship the truck.. now after he had agreed to this trade he then told me that the only reason he said keep the truck is cause if he found someone that would like to buy it.. NOW this is were i got pissed at him and i know once his name comes out here he is going to be pissed but i dont care cause i put alot of hard work into this.. but anyway he said that i cant give it to my father in law cause HE didnt want a piece of money like that just being givin away,right now I'm thinking about doing a new updated manual for all general redcats. that is if maybe one of the redcat dealers here would love to work with on that and give a chance to prove my stuff!! i can send you a copy of the one i just did and you can make the descision..

Status: offline 		yead I'd be on phone to Darin at redcat. Hopefully he will do the right thing because he's probably read this read. When it somes down to it I don;t think he'd risk his reputation by screwing a customer.
In regards to copywrite, here in Australia all you virtually have to do is write the copywrite symbol followed by the year. Not sure how you get that registered officially though.
I must say I feel that your good nature in all this has been completely exploited and I feel that that transaction where your truck was sold underneath you was actually illegal. You simply can;t sell items in someone else's possession. Its totally crazy.
Its an extremely unfortunate scenario and it makes me mad as hell when I hear things like this! I feel for ya dude!

Status: offline 		This is funny!!!! I wanna thank all you guys for helping my husband out with this "little problem". It has been bothering him for awhile now. Not that he ever listens to me about calling Darin personally. It really was a raw deal we got. "He" knew that we had planned to give the truck to my father and had even agreed that it was a good idea. Then "He" took it away. I was crushed. We do not have the money to buy a new one, and it was supposed to be a birthday present to my dad. I am still heartbroken that I could not give that gift to my dad. I have not been happy with "him" since this happened and this is not the first time that "He" has screwed us over. IT has happened a total of 2 times. We learned and it will never happen again!!!
