I have some us and quadra 35. I was looking in to putting on a electric Ignitions on it.. the fly wheel is to big for the cow. I called Ch Ignitions and they said that it would be allot of $$$$ to get one from them for this eng. (about 200 bucks) but they have a Ignitions for the home lite weed eater eng. The fly wheel on the home lite is allot like the quadra and the us.. Is there any one that has try ed this or have a idea on what I can do to make this work.. I just like us and quarda and would love to put one of my eng in this plane but like I said the fly wheel will not clear the cow.

You should be able to adapt the Homelite parts to your Quadra with minor machine work.

go to a mower or weedeater parts place and order a universal ignition module # 33-053 . it weights 1/4 of an oz. you can mount it anywhere on your plane. it cost $9.00 to 13.00 ea. it will make your q35 quadra run like a raped ape! it will out do your points! i start mine on points and use a switch to move to electric ign and cut the engine off from the electric ign.then you will never have that stubborn re-crank that sometimes happens when you cut off with points.
