Here is a pick of the simple adapter I am using on our charger to charge a 2 cell battery without balancing taps..

Jeff, thanks for the pic.

If i understand correct, you used the charger adapter shown in the pic below and removed the middle red wire. Or no?

I also thought that the adapter must be modified like this for a 2cell

I was thinking; instead of removing the middle wire (because i am afraid of damaging the adapter), to cut it short, and put a heat srhink on its tip. Is it safe to do this?

Mike-

You have it exactly correct..

You could leave the red wire as is and throw some shrink wrap on it..

You'd be good to go..

Jeff, i have a question regarding the leads.

The leads that i will solder with the adapter wires have diameter of 1mm. There will be a problem using these thin wires?

Jeff, if no problem, can you measure the length of the wires of the adapter that you made?

Just to get the idea of how long the wires should be.

Ah, the distance shouldn't matter..

I think they were about an inch, but you can make them as long as you like..
