Hey guys, anybody building a 32% Yak with a DA100 and cannisters?

what headers are you using and how are they fitting inside the motor box? Anything special I need to look out for?
I need to call DA and see what they recommend for this plane but I know there aren't too many 32% Yaks out there yet.

Also, you guys putting the rudders servos in the tail?? That's the way I'm leaning. 1 on each side of the fuse.

thanks for your help
Steve

I'm looking for the same info if anyone already has it. I haven't called DA yet...but plan to later this winter.

My 32% is just about ready to cover...just a few details to finish up.

Steve, I added mounts in the rear of the fuse for rudder servos. I'm going to give it a shot. If it ends up tail heavy, I can always add a pull-pull setup.

You will need to use a 50mm drop header. I will post pictures of mine.

I am using a DA 100 and MTW TD75K canisters on my 32%Yak. You will need the 50mm drop flex headers. The canisters are a tight fit. If you want some more room, then I would use the smaller diameter TD75 canisters. I am using the smaller diameter cans on my QQ 102" Yak with great success. I leave the flex headers full length and have great power and throttle response.

Good luck,

Steve

Steve,

The TD75's are longer, will they fit? Your picture looks like the TD75K's , correct?

Thanks, Ward

Ward,

I think you are on to something. I don't know how much longer the TD75's are longer. The rear bulkhead can be easily modified to clear the canisters. I had the TD75K's so I used them. Sorry, I don't know how much longer they are.

Good luck,

Steve
