Despite having some quality issues (nothing too major) and a couple of accidents which resulted in its early retirement my favorite ARF so far was probably the Thunder Tiger 66 inch span Sea Fury. I originally flew it stock out of the box but a dead stick gone wrong at the hands of a buddy of mine required a rebuild of both outer wing panels. During the repairs I glassed and painted the airplane in the color scheme below. From a flying stand point this was probably the best warbird I've flown for aerobatics having very little roll coupling which made slow and point rolls a thing of beauty. I also think TT did a good job of capturing the overall look of the Sea Fury. Great airplane and I would not hesitate to own another one.

Nice!

The airframe looks so rigid to me!

tevans55, NICE plane. Have you seen Model Airplane News's Feb 2013 issue? Flip to page 34. There is a good article about detailing planes. The example used is a Corsair.

Thanks for the heads up. I want to continue practicing weathering with my air brush. Last year I did some on the ESM B-25 but I want to continue to learn new stuff and appreciate reading up on articles about weathering. Thanks again.

I kinda like them too!

Green Models 84.5"  DA50R on the bench waiting for a pilot figure and maiden. Engine is new and on a test stand getting a couple of tanks of fuel through it before remounting.

97" Pacific Aeromodels ARC is getting second cockpit, proper wing fairings and other more to scale details before fabric and paint in true Red on White.

A Gee Bee lover too eh.
They are something different at the field and do get a lot of attention. Everybody thinks you are a talented pilot due to the false reputation so common of the Gee Bee's, if they only knew eh.
I recently acquired a Canon Rebel so hopefully with some practice and learning I will have more better photos.
Thanks for the compliment on My choice of Airplanes.

This little 40 size Model D Coverite kit from way back in the early 80's is where it all started

That is NICE. What program do you use for the HDR treatments? I have HDR Efex Pro2 and it works well for me. You have a good ability to photogrqaph the RC planes and make them look like full scale. What's your secret?

Coming up with a keeper photo takes Photoshop Elements, PaintShop Pro, Photomatix, and a couple of Topaz's plug ins. Full scale look? Low (think scale pilot height), close, and wide angle help. Oh, yes, keep only about 3% (really) of what you shoot.
