LOL..already found em, I just had to go thru 16 pages of Dynamite stuff to find the sets. Thanks again crimson, I will see if they will combine shipping! I emailed them today and got a very basic they are listed under the brand name response........I had no idea what brand they were tho. Your link got me going in the right direction........ all my other sets are Wiha's and team Losi's. So I was a little confused, thier store doesn't sem very well set up for online purchases but it sounds like they are a good lot to deal with.

I posted this question on the main "Esky helis" page, but maybe some of you who mostly lurk in here can help:

......................................................
I'm installing an HDX 4200 9T with an Eflite 25A Pro ESC (EFLA1025) in the King 2. I am running an external BEC and have removed the center red wire from the ESC micro connector. Sometimes it'll spin up and get jittery; other times it'll just jitter. It does this wired for either direction. I've changed every programmable option in the ESC to no effect. Tried four different fully charged batteries. I have yet to even mount the motor in the frame.

I did notice earlier that the model number of the ESC is EFLA1025 - does the "A" mean I got the airplane version and I'm just screwed? Since I've removed the red wire from the RX connector, I'm sure the LHS won't take it back.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
.......................................................

Can running an "airplane" ESC in a heli muck it up?

)...my new project (here we go again eh?). I'm thinking modular, I'm thinking brushless tail and HHG. This will be adapted to the HBKII with 3500kv/33a ESC running 11T with 1500mAh 15C's. Belt drive will be gone to add realizm for the tail rotor being mounted in the correct spot instead of as shown in the pic.

Crash,thats cool!
Need more info on this as I have been going around stores and looking on line to find a plastic model the size that would fit on the King2 but no luck so far and yours seems to be perfect.

shizack-- it should work if wired correctly whether in a plank or heli, it just might not work as well without heli-specific programming. Do you have another ESC you can try the motor on? It sounds like one or the other isn't working correctly.

hey shizack im running that same speed contol in my hbk2 im guessing its the new one with the smoke case and blue heat sinks right? .....anyway it works fine for me im using a gy-401 with a JR ds-285 for the tail and a helimax 6 pole brushless motor and this is all with the stock transmitter/reciever the only thing i can thing of is that it has something to do with the seperate bec you have installed the speed controls unit is already very good and possibly it doesn't like the seperate bec anyway hope you get that all sorted out

Well I just came in from my first semi major crash. Been flying my fixed pitch around alot and getting braver, Wind was low, sky was blue so I was feeling brave. Took the king out to my back yard launch pad, Kids had a pool over the summer so I have a 15ft circle with no grass in my yard. Gave it a test hover, sit it back down all looked good so I fliped the scary switch(throtle hold) took it up and gave it full right rudder. It spun around and stopped perfect, With a big smile on my face I wanted more, so I flew up alittle higher and gave full right aileron control rolling it over while applying negative pitch been going through this in my head now for days. So there I was upside down in a perfect hover, l gave it allittle more negative and more aileron and fliped it back over. Thinking ok so far so good then allittle wind came tail swings out. I correct, over correct and its headed towards my house at record(for me) speed. I try to correct again, over correct and try to level it out and smack it hits the ground and flops allitlle im in so much shock it takes me a second to think Idle up is on and it flops around allittle. All in all very little damage as I was flying instead of fixing my lawn mover so my lack of lawn maintenance saved the day. Broken body mount rod, Striped main gear and a few chips on the blades, Bent feathering shaft, good things the ones crashcrash sent me came in today. New parts on the way with some new frp blades and some trex tail blades from rusty. I know what went wrong but will most likely forget what it was as soon as I have a tx in my hand.

And a short video of it right before, Wife was taping and camera shut off right before I inverted it, just my luck.

Hey everyone....

I am completly new at helicopters and want to get into the sport. I have been in and out of the RC flying (airplanes) for around 20 years and have always wanted to try my hand at Heli's. I tried on sims and can fly them around for, lets say 2 mins or so before I am hitting the F4 button. So I have alooooooot to learn. I am at this forum because my long time friend told me about yall. I want to start off with the new version of the Honey bee king unless yall tell me otherwise. Being new I need to know all the new jargon and the do's and DON"TS of the sport. I am totally prepared to crash and know that I will. I just would like a head start in knowledge first. Any help would be cool. I have no equiptment yet and need to know the best way to start. Where to buy from and so on. Thanks

Hello MDTand and welcome. My advise would to just personal message Rusty (Betapilot) and start talkgin to him about starting off with the Honey bee king 2. He is a great person and I highly recemend buying from him.

If you scroll down to teh bottom of page 91, you can just click on the PM button on Betapilots post. Talk to him, and I am sure he will set you up and tell you the Do's and Donts.
