Just make sure that when you give a left control the front wheel points right and vice versa.Bikes steer by leaning not pointing the wheel like a car,it's called countersteering.

It also needs to be traveling at a bit more than walking pace until you get used to it.

Lots of help and tips here.

I only race nitro bikes,my home track is Tibshelf near Mansfield.

The track at Skipton is only about 5 mins walk from the railway station if you need to use a train to get to a track. There will be a race this next Sunday. If the weather looks good I'll be going, hopefully with a new bike to try out. It's just over a two hour run for me to get there from Newark.

Good 1/5 bikers forum here ...

If you have a radio with steering throw adjustment, turn it WAY down. You will see a great improvement. It wont react as fast which puts the bike on its side when you first start out. And after you get use to it gradually turn it up and you will learn how to "feather" the steering and eventually be able to turn fully without falling over. I have the ducati now. But about a year ago I had the fm and I sold it because I got so frustrated with the steering. Patience isnt exactly a virtue of mine. But Im glad I got another. Once you figure these out IMO there is no other type of RC that is funner and I have done em all. And Im probably biased when it comes to bikes cuz they are my passion in the 1:1 scale also. 2003 gsxr 1000, 2004 gsxr 600.
