lol, that is some pretty damn good flying though man, I took mine out in the wind today and it came back in little pieces. It wasn't bad at first but then the wind picked up while it was mid flight. I did get some pretty sweet runs before though.
I was just contemplating carbon fiber shafts. My LHS only has CF in SAE sizes. The .157 in. tube has been proven to work for the outer shaft but .080 in. is the closest to 2mm but it could be too big. I also would like to make the outer shaft longer to avoid blade clack. It looks like that Cryodrive shaft is 2.5 cm longer than stock.
Someone else was doing some testing on the saft length and stated the cyro shaft length made the heli more unstable. 5 to 10mm seems to be the standard lenght for going taller. Also are you sure you want to go CF for the inner shaft? Titanium is what I went with ( again recommend byGlodslinger. HERE is his cf shaft how to.)

The GF bought me a CX2 for christmas. It now has all the Xtreme parts on it. Did I do it because it didn't fly well without them? No. I did it because I like the looks of it. The stiffer blades though are a nice upgrade though over stock. I spent the time adjusting it so it will hover in place without touching the controls, or having to move the trims to the far ends of adjustment. I did that when stock, and it still does that with the mods/upgrades. Bottom dollar, I upgraded the heli because I like the heli, and I want it to look different then every other person around that has one. Later this summer, when I am ready I will go to a bigger heli, and still keep the CX2 when I want to have a little fun, or get someone else into the hobby.
I can't believe people try so hard to talk people out of buying things for their CX2. If you don't want to spend money on yours then fine, thats your business. But thats just wrong to tell others they are "wrong" or "dumb" for spending money on theirs. Thats the great thing, people can spend whatever money on whatever they want. If you don't like it, then too bad.

Wow.... Great flying...! I think ya enjoy your CX2 as much as I do ! It's amazing what these little heli's can dish out eh ?! I first got mine back in August, and really pushed the limits with it, trying to see what can become of it... You make me want to get back into it ! I've been pre-occupied with my Trex, and neglected my little flyer over the months... You definately got my adrenaline flowing again. I have a few videos from awhile back you can view to enjoy, as I sure enjoyed yours...
Stock engines, servo arm moved to third hole and some aluminum upgrades keep me happy.... Maybe someday, I'll try the Xtreme engines, but as of now the stockers provide to be plenty... Only on my second set since August, and I usually only run my CPP 3-cell 800 mah batts in it. Provides for excellent outside flight. Never a problem on the older version with the 4 in 1.

Acura integra without turbo are exellent car and fast ones. that is for sure. I have a 90" integra with nitro and that was a blast. and with the turbo at 20 pounds you can increase 75 more hp. that worth the money because you are improving the perfomance of the car a lot.
BTW, I'am also a fellow Integra owner... Bought the GSR off the showroom floor in 2001 for $32,000 as you see in the pic below, currently has 47,000 miles on her and I love it like ya do yours...! Never went to the turbo yet, but plenty on internals in the head ready for it...Maybe someday ?! Anyway, I did up my CX2 to match the Acura...Lol..
Take care, and keep posting the vids...

Wow thats cool that your GF would buy you a Heli RM25X. I am sure most people in reading this thread know how to adjust their CX2 pitch, servos, etc but just in case anyone is still flying with trim adjustments being used here is something I posted earlier to help someone out and you can do this with any chopper. To quote myself: "No worries this is an easy fix. Take off the casing and landing gear, lay down and stick the heli on your chest (or just put it on the bed) Turn on your transmitter, throttle down and move everything center on the transmitter (when you are done with these instructions you will have your heli trimmed with everything center so follow along). Next plug in your battery while watching both servos. See that servo move way up (or down) and also that clicking sound as you plugged it in?. Unplug it, then do it again. See and hear it again? If so we found your problem so lets fix it. Good now with the battery still plugged in go ahead and loosen the screws holding the servos in. Take them out and get eye level with the Heli (put in on your chest laying down) and put the servos back in while making sure the blades well be level. Get these servos level when you put them back in. Try to turn a servo with your fingers. Hear that clicking sound? The servos don't like you doing that so stop it already. When they are centered and you are satisfied screw them back in. Unplug the battery and plug back in. The clicking sound should be gone. Put the chopper on your chest and throttle up to make sure that you are satisfied and everything is ok. Now your clicking is gone and your Chopper should be trimmed perfect without ever touching the transmitter." Is that pretty much what you did RM25X to get it adjusted? Hopefully no one's girl friend is watching when your laying doing with a Helicopter on your chest But it is a good way to see and feel it is adjusted well. Even if you have tools for that. Michaels Heli looks and flies just like mine in first video, but looks way better in the last video with mods to it. It looks awesome now. The Integra looks cool to but I believe the speed limit in WA is 60mph and those cops don't mess around . Where do you guys get these mods? I had no idea they even sold cool mods for the CX2. The LHS I go to just treats it like a cheap trainer toy. They thought it strange when I bought the CX2 knowing I was into bigger and more expensive Helis.

Hi Guys, I am new to the Heli world and after advice from locals that can fly well, I have purchased a Blade CX2 as a starting point. I would like to use the Transmitter from the CX2 with a simulator. I am doing this via the trainer 3.5mm socket on rear of unit and an adaptor cable – USB to 3.5mm plug with PIC processor built-in. I am using ppjoy with picjoy to support the USB connection. Picjoy seems to find the USB cable device fine on com3 but I keep getting “no signal” at the bottom of the Picjoy window? Hence no response to any controls…. I assume the TX should be switched off during this process (plugging the jack into the CX2 transmitter seems to disconnect the TX power anyway – which I think is correct) before I put an oscilloscope on the Trainer output to see if there is any signal there, has anyone got such a setup working correctly? Am I missing something here?? Cheers

Have you heard of anyone doing it successfully with the DSM controller? I have read that it isn't possible according to the E-flite customer support . I have nearly the same set up you are talking abou with my CP Pro controller using popjoy and a make shift cable that goes from the PS2 trianer output to the microphone input on my PC. It works well. I heard that the reason a simliar set up doesn't work with the CX2 TX is that it doesn't use PCM and the PC/popjoy can't understand it properly. Hopefully it is possible as i would rather use the DSM due to less battery requirements, and if you could use the trainer switch as an idle up that would be decent.

Try Boomtownhobbies . They are awesome and their service is A1. He has pretty much everyting you would want I think. Maybe the guys at your LHS just can't fly them well enough to appreciate them?

Yes, but where in the world do you buy titanium rods and how would you cut them?

You say you have a USB cable? I don't think ppjoy and picjoy are needed with a USB cable. Does Windows see the cable as a joystick when you plug it in? Check game controllers in your control panel and see if it's there. But really the easiest way to get fms going is with an E-Sky or Dynam sim controller on Ebay. The 4-CH is about $20 and the 6-CH is about $30.
