Nice shades for sure.

But dig all the cooler helis he has. He must have one great dad, to support him like that.

I mentioned before, he'll end up world class for sure. Figure, he's only 10 or maybe 11 by now. Think what he'll learn in the next 10 years. Wow! At 21, he could have a beer or two, then fly even better.

Dave, they were on the rack at the LHS (Hobby Hobby in Mississauga ON, they get it from Horizon like everybody else I think).
The top hub comes with the inner shaft but is removeable unlike the plastic version.
I can't remember if the swash is Microheli or Eflite.
BTW I just put an aluminum swash (EFlite) and CF main blades on the Blade CRex Pro, along with some bodywork on the canopy...
When is it no longer a Blade CPPro?
Is it like the axe I inherited from my grandfather?...I've replaced the head twice, and the handle three times, but it's still my grandfather's axe...

AGR26, some of the things that rc helicopters can do defy belief. How do they stay in the air? And to think that people can deliberately fly them in those maneuvers is even more incredible.
I saw a video of Curtis Youngblood, at the end he blasted WAAAY up, hit thottle-hold, flipped inverted, autorotated inverted all the way down, FBF inverted to right in front of him, flipped upright and landed at his feet. Then while everybody's still gaping in disbelief, he did it _again_.

Well went through my first set of blades today, about my 25th flight ever, taged the corner of the wall, no big crash, just craked one upper and one lower. Then I was having some trouble with the nose drifting left, decided to adjust the 4 in 1, and flew right into the Christmas tree.

tore up another set of blades, broke 4 glass ornaments(wife was pissed) and I finished making some adjustments, got it to hover well. Decided not to press my luck anymore. Everyone told me I would crash my first day, made it almost 2 weeks and had 2 back to back. Oh Well, at least blades are cheap!

I have the blade cx2 and it flys pefect. Once I trimmed it, it will hover hands off. My question comes on the battery. How much time are you spending on charging the battery with the included charger. I stop flying with about 5.8v left on the LiPo. It takes about 2 hours 20 min to charge the battery to 8.4v and I go fly for about 10-15 min. Does this seem normal. Manuel states 1.5 and less time to charge. Anyone else see this as a problem.

Hi, Turkey721

How do you find out there is 5.8v left in the battery???
I usually don't fly my CX2 longer than 10 minutes and my charge time is 1 hr 30 minutes.

Seems like most CX2 users have to charge their battery over 2 hours. Kind of long.........

Your CX2 must be perfectly balance, etc. hover hands off never happen to my heli. I have to keep my hands on the control all the time. May be it is time for me to check and maintain the blade, etc.

Fly my CX2 outside 5 times this weekend with no or very little wind, a lot of fun! But I have to be real careful and play with the wind.

Jellyson,
I was hovering in my computer room, which I did all the time about 8 months or so ago with my CX. Sold em awhile back and missed horsing around with them, saw the CX2 and got one. Anyway, hovering in the computer room, just inches from the ceiling and brought the throttle down a little (lot) to quickly and the bottom blade snaged the edge of one of my work tables. When the bottom blade hit the table, it lauched it into clear territory and landed on it's skids, Whew... That's how....

Now, how do you shatter a bottom blade half-way in and not touch the top blades or the flybar? Hmmm...

I use a volt meter, I have an old connector that i have hooked to the meter leads. I just plug it up and take the reading. I did notice that when the battery is going low it will drift in the tail.

I am new to helicopters and have a cx2 'on the way' for xmas. Do you recammend the aluminum 'hop up' parts? Do they make a difference? (besides looking cool!)

Personally, I only upgrade parts when I break something and, even then, only when I believe that the upgrade will save me money ro time/trouble in the long run.
I've found that I have saved money by replacing the inner shaft/flybar holde with the aluminum one. I also just replaced the lower head with the aluminum one because the stock one broke and I feel that in the long run it will save time, effort and money to have it. Other than that the upgrades I've made have been for looks - carbon fiber boom. Maybe that will give a performance increase but I did it because I like how it looks.

Where does one get the Carbon Fiber Boom? Also, how much time do you find you get on the motors before you need to replace them?

As a 'newbie' excitedly waiting for xmas morning to unwrap my cx-2 (wives can be so cruel!), any words of advice/warnings before I spool up the bird and run it into my flat screen tv on first flight?

Happy Holidays!

RADD's rotary flight scholl if you have never flown an rc heli.

With the CX you should progreess quickly through it.

Take your time and fly in the garage with smooth floors and no wind if possible...

Use some, or make some training gear from wooden skewers and zip ties!

Here is RADD'S link... http://www.dream-models.com/eco/flying-index.html

My first heli was a cp pro and Radd's had me hovering in 7 batteries.......

Good luck!

Get an upper and lower blade set. And a set of skids.
These break most often.
The inner shaft.. either remove the screw at the very top, so the flybar can pop out -when- the plane tips over with the rotors running, or get the aluminum head inner shaft.
