I would recommend that you get the interface version of AFPD, which allows you to use your own radio and it's built in programmable functions e.g. dual rates, mixing, expos, etc. Yes the radio needs to be on while using AFPD, and depending on your radio type and adapter cable design, the radio may switch on automatically when you plug in the adapter into your radio. Some radios will also automatically disable the radio transmission when you plug the adapter in, so you will not need to remove the crystal or module. With the transmission disabled, the Tx | |
