Status: offline 		Yeah I thought it looked like it also. It said it was Hi- speed nitro I think it is the same company that makes the redcats. If so it is going to destroy the redcat company. There is alot of HI-speed rc's I think smart tech, extreme, acme are all the same. There might even be a few more I don't know.

Status: offline 		Yeah there are super deals on ebay but i'd say do your research before you by, parts availability, compatibility, location of parts are key. Also i think its a good idea to get something thats durable and if you buy used, you buy a well maintained car!

Status: offline 		Yup, ebay rocks for nitros. I got my 1/8 torpeda pro with aluminum upgrades (himoto version of Hurricane XP pro) and a 1/8 Tornado Truck (Hi-Speed version of redcat earthquake) for less than what I would pay for a "brand name" RTR buggy or truck at my LHS

Status: offline 		I bought two cars... One Himoto Torpeda and on Hurricane. I paid less for both combined then I would have for any 1 car at my lhs.

If you factor in shipping.... it's still a good deal... even at $60. It's still cheaper than paying the tax on a $500 car here in Canada.... as long as they use USPS and not UPS (If it's brown, flush it down).

Status: offline 		Amen bro. I payed 67$ ups customs fees on a 199 american $ item and thats after prepaying the shiping. I never use ups they blow goats.

Status: offline 		I just picked up a NIB Redcat Volcano SV off ebay for $152.50 including shipping and a starter kit. It seemed like a great deal so it was an impulse buy, this is the third RC I have bought off Ebay and all of them have been cheaper than the LHS around me.

Status: offline 		I just ordered a tornado bb off of ebay for 125.99 plus 45 shiping to cananda. This ebay thing seems to be the hot ticket for buying rc's I also boutght a megatech megachopper for 9$ pluss shiping new as well A couple of weeks ago. I am a mechanic and love messing with things and have lots of loctite kicking around. So getting this thing ready and to stay together will hopefully be not to bad for me. This is also my first nitro. I was just on youtube and saw a nitro jump a house.

Status: offline 		Ya, UPS brokerage in Canada is horrilbe (just paid $27 for $24 dollars worth of parts from US, but paid no duty when my buggy came from exportpro (post)) If you order anything, check how it will be sent. I own a Mail Boxes Etc. (didn't change to "The UPS Store") and have dealt with this often (way to often). If you order anything online and it is sent UPS ground and has a value of $20 or more, they will get you for brokerage.

Status: offline 		Where are they? Are they the .18 engines (I think thats what bb meens?) I only paid 3.50 more anyway still cheeper than the 600 it would be at my local hobby shop. I tryed every search I could and the only one that came up was for the one I got.
