I am currently building the Ziroli 77" Stearman. Will I lose points in a scale event if I use the 5 cylinder Saito radial engine? The 3-view that I am using shows a 7 cylinder engine. From my research I have seen both the 7 and 9 cylinder engine on the Stearman. I would appreciate the help.

I don't know about the point loss, but you might look at Technopower's radials. The have what they call 1/5 scale and 1/6 scale in 5, 7 and 9 cylinder versions ranging in diameter from 6" to 9" with a top end price of about $2400 for the 9" 9 cylinder.

I hear they are underpowered though, but depending on the final weight of your Stearman you might be okay.
